07/09/2018 Biology notes in the local library!
I met up with a friend and we are having a very productive day.
So today was dedicated to maths - I did an end of topic test and I’m fairly confident with how it turned out. I also took time to chill out though - I had a lie in, watched a film earlier and am chilling out by finishing L’invitée. I am literally 71.9% done!
I’ve been exhausted this week and I don’t want to burn out, so today is my day to take the foot off the accelerator and coast.
Tomorrow I plan to write up some more biology notes, finish some chemistry and run some German quizlets. I also have a Fluter magazine to read through to aid my research for the IRP, which I’m looking forward to reading. I’ll then make some progress with maths in the evening and on Monday.
Happy weekend!
My friend posts photos on Instagram with revision tidbits as captions which 100% makes me feel better about scrolling through Instagram
10% of the way there, folks! I’ve done some chemistry revision today, learnt 4 sets of 30 German flash cards before having double German and doing loads of grammar drills. I had 2 cups of tea while my lovely bio teacher was talking about osmoregulation and then in my free at the end of the day I made some maths notes while sneaking pizza into the work room.
I hope you’ve all had great days :)
Me: OMG YOU HAVE TOO MANY BOOKS! READ THE ONES YOU’VE GOT BEFORE BUYING MORE!
Also me: *sees a book on Amazon* Oooooh that looks interesting... let’s take a cheeky peek... oh, shit. I put it in my basket. Oh, double shit. I accidentally paid for it. With next day delivery. Well, it’s mine now!
I make all my notes in advance of lessons (these chemistry notes are weeks if not months in advance) so lessons are revision sessions and I can just get on with practice questions. I can add to them in lessons if needs be :)
Not long until A Levels are behind me...
which is a good thing because I - funnily enough - hate La Haine
Hey! Love your page. I love all your notes and it reminds me of mine! I love to spend each day learning the subjects (chemistry, physics and maths) especially maths and physics because they offer huge new challenges. I’m intrigued to know what your favourite topic in chemistry is though?
Thank you so much! I am a sucker for anything organic - particularly when you’re dealing with aromatic compounds as well as aliphatic and alicyclic ones :)
I’m a few days into creating this journal of chemistry fundamentals that I should know as a refresher before I start uni at the end of September. It’s a long way away yet, but I’d rather ease my brain into the work and kill my boredom in a fun way than panic, work too hard and burn myself out before I even start!
I hope you’re doing well!
My motivation is also saying 📈📉📈📉 at this point!

Day 16 of My Summer Studying Challenge
✨ 28th July ✨ How do you stay motivated to study during the summer?
my motivation is quite up and down at the moment actually but i’ve just been trying to break down the tasks as much as possible and set achievable goals. but as well as this i’ve been trying to take time to relax. there’s also been some tasks that just generally i’ve wanted to do more so i’ve been way more motivated to do those than ones that just seem a bit boring
