He Def Has Some Form Of Scoliosis

he def has some form of scoliosis

Sketchy fanart of the character Doflamingo from the series One Piece. He is pictured from behind, sitting on a barstool and lounging across the bar. He's depicted as quite gangly with exaggerated joints and posture almost to the point of appearing broken. One leg is bent to rest the heel against the base of the bar stool and the other is extended out at an unnatural angle, and one arm is stretched flat across the bar while the other is bent to hold a drink loosely by the rim of the glass. He seems entirely too large to fit at this bar built for normal-sized humans. His iconic pink feather jacket is rendered as brush marks across his back like plumage. He peers at you from under and between his own shoulder and arm, head hanging upside-down.
A continuation in the same style as the first image. Doflamingo has turned around on the stool to lean back against the bar, his knees spread and a leer on his face. A vein has popped in his forehead.

(Whispering urgently) I don't mean to alarm you, but I think that guy at the bar digs your vibe

could you do an analyze for chuuya and his feelings ect ?

…..Sure!! Thank you for the ask, I’m very honored!! Though I admit I feel a bit insecure when talking about Chuuya since I’m not exactly the most knowledgeable about him.

I think Chuuya feels at home in the Mafia, and that’s very heartwarming. For all the shit we’ve been shown with regards to the Mafia’s shady activities, this dark organization is still one of the pillars of support for Yokohama. We don’t have to agree with their methods, of course, but their army is one of the main forces that keep the city safe from foreign enemies like the Guild, and Chuuya is one of those in the forefront.

In terms of emotional content for Chuuya, I could find more to unpack in the light novel Fifteen than in canon itself. I was particularly intrigued by how Asagiri-sensei tied his emotional development and maturity with his artificially attached special ability. We haven’t got to the dirty details of the experiments carried out at the government facility where Chuuya had been, but I think Asagiri-sensei will give us that because it is an important aspect of the government’s attitude towards special abilities and their users. In Fifteen, Chuuya was pretty much the same as we know him in canon, kinda reckless, kinda short-tempered, definitely strong and independent. Young Chuuya, however, did not have as clear an understanding of choice and duty as he does now. He started off without an identity and a past, and Sheep was his first family. I think he stayed with them because they didn’t care much about his identity, or lack thereof. Sheep didn’t just want a family member, though. They wanted Chuuya’s strength as their shield. Chuuya stayed with Sheep for so long because they gave them a place to belong, but also because of that sense of duty and loyalty. Though in the end, because they both wanted his strength and became fearful of it, Sheep was bound to betray Chuuya.

Emotionally, I think Chuuya was already mature in Fifteen. He didn’t care much for revenge and he understood Sheep betrayed him to protect themselves. And though Dazai made it sound like a deal had been made to arrange for Chuuya’s joining the Mafia in exchange for Sheep’s safety, in the end it was Chuuya’s choice. I feel like this was the first time he made that choice to stay with a family he found instead of doing what was expected of him. Mori and the Mafia didn’t demand Chuuya’s strength in exchange for a place to stay; on the other hand, Mori expressed genuine gratitude for Chuuya’s dedication and determination to be a great leader in the Mafia. Mori’s thought of raising Dazai and Chuuya to become sharpened diamonds shows his genuine hope for them to become valuable leaders to the organization.

Chuuya’s attitude towards his ability is another important aspect of his character. I found it intriguing how Chuuya questioned his attachment to his own body, and even doubted that he was actually human. His immense physical strength also meant he would never have to defend himself at the verge of death, something that usually would make people realize how fortunate they were to be alive. Chuuya doesn’t experience that, of course. He had an abundance of power, which means he’s always in control. However, he feels that power is not entirely his. This is where Chuuya shares something in common with Atsushi: their powers seem to have a life of their own. But while Atsushi doubts himself and becomes fearful of his own power, Chuuya wields it when he needs to, but wishes to feel a bit more human when he doesn’t have to use it. Chuuya and Dazai also share the sentiment of their humanity slipping away, Chuuya due to his inhuman power and the fact that it was forcefully built into his identity, Dazai due to his intelligence and isolation.

Chuuya’s connection with Arthur Rimbaud is perhaps the most memorable thing about him for me personally. For all the shit he’s been through, Chuuya doesn’t blame Rimbaud for making him the way he is. If anything, Rimbaud made Chuuya understand that he was fine just the way he was. He didn’t have to keep questioning how much of his identity was entirely his, because in the end, everyone is just a frame for something (I think what he meant was our body is only a frame for our soul, but I’m not sure). Rimbaud also told Chuuya to live, not as a shield or a tool, but as his own person, with his own will and freedom of choice. Not as a weapon of war, but as a valuable member of the most powerful underground organization in Yokohama, a place he chose for himself. Chuuya’s sympathy for Rimbaud’s dedication and loyalty, his maturity and strength, both physical and emotional, and his willingness to forgive and move on (non-applicable to Dazai) is one of the things I like the most about him.

What actually happened to Jayce and Viktor in the end? And why didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive destroy everything within its blast radius?

TL;DR: the only timeline that could have worked was the one where Viktor gives Jayce the Acceleration rune, where Ekko invents the Z-drive, and where Jayce saves Viktor and gets his partner back.

Something we’ve seen pointed out is that the world rune that worked in this timeline was the Acceleration rune, which has the function of transportation through time and space.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

Ekko’s Z-drive was built by inverting Jayce’s Acceleration rune (this is important later).

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

We know from his experiments that the limit for reversing time is only 4 seconds. Any further back and it causes catastrophic harm to his surroundings. It’s implied that the further he overextends his Z-drive, the more disastrous the damage and radius of effect.

In the final battle against Viktor, we see Ekko overextend his Z-drive far beyond 4 seconds. Then, he yeets it at Viktor, whose mask is shattered from the impact.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

We know that turning back time beyond 4 seconds causes catastrophic destruction of the surrounding areas: Jayce and Viktor, and perhaps countless others should have been caught up in the blast. But instead, we see something different:

Time stands still for a moment, courtesy of the boy who shattered time.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

Now things happen all in a manner of seconds: In the astral plane, we see Viktor comment on the anomaly that Ekko has created.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

It’s something that Viktor as smart as he is, couldn’t have conceived— leave it to Ekko (and lest I forget, Heimerdinger and alt-Jinx) to show them all up.

This is debatable, but I firmly believe that Viktor with his awareness of all time and space, could have escaped or even survived the explosion.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

It’s only Jayce, the only person who could show him what he showed him, that gets through to him in the end and convinces him to give up his Glorious Evolution.

"In all timelines, only you can show me this". Ekko is the catalyst but Jayce was the key.

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

Jayce returns the Acceleration rune to Viktor which kicks off a chain of events. The souls under Viktor’s control are freed from his grasp. Back in the real world, and back to the explosion, we see the following happening almost simultaneously:

What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything
What Actually Happened To Jayce And Viktor In The End? And Why Didn’t Ekko’s Z-drive Destroy Everything

The blast from the Z-drive extends from Viktor’s reach to Jayce’s

The Acceleration rune embedded in Jayce’s wrist starts to glow from being activated by Jayce and Viktor in the astral plane

Jayce and Viktor are absorbed into the gem and the gemstone blips out of existence

Recall that the Z-drive was created through an inversion of the Acceleration rune. To multiply something by its inverse, is to divide it by itself. The Acceleration rune multiplied by the Inversed Acceleration rune, cancels out the effect of the other: nullifying both the anomaly from the Z-drive but also the rune.

This explains why there was no larger explosion. Viktor and Jayce (who chose to stay) sacrificed themselves and took themselves out of the equation. Jayce and Viktor were the anomalies— just like the Z-drive should not have existed, neither should have Hextech.

Through all the timelines and permutations of runes that Viktor tried, the only combination that could have worked was in the timeline with the Acceleration rune. It couldn’t have worked if it was any other rune, if Ekko had never invented the Z-drive, or if Jayce had never convinced Viktor to give up his path of destruction, and got his partner back.

saw a post about redemption arcs and i realized that a lot of our discussions would be improved if we discussed villains for what they are (pieces of a narrative whole) instead of what they definitely are not (real people on trial)

Everything between Jayce and Viktor can really be traced back to their childhood inciting incidents and it’s killing me.

Jayce: a miracle saves him and his mom, forever imprinting him with the certainty that miracles do exist, they can be controlled, he can save his loved ones no matter how awful things get, if he can just be smart and bold and quick enough.

Viktor: he saw the horror of what Singed had done—of forcing a creature to live against its will, of the degradation and terror of being fundamentally changed. For a while he thought he understood Singed, when he decided that he was willing to throw away all his principles to survive his own body. But he didn’t, really. He didn’t understand. There was still a line he would not cross. He wanted to die human.

It’s fitting, then, and unspeakably tragic, that Jayce is the one who played Singed’s role in the end. Because you can’t ask Jayce to let a loved one go, when he knows there’s a miracle that can save him, the solution is right there, it will work if you will just let him try—and so he forces a change onto Viktor against his will. He traps him into the Arcane, takes apart and reassembles his body, strips him of his selfhood and humanity. All so that Viktor will live. Singed wasn’t talking about the desperation not to die—he was talking about the desperation not to lose someone you love.

And so Viktor is…changed. He lives, whether he wants to or not.

And so Jayce loses him anyway.
