watching people get into *reading* the hunger games for the first time after the release of Sunrise On The Reaping and seeing them read the og trilogy is just. so funny.

the movies are good, or good enough, but they don't really portray just how much of an unreliable narrator Katniss truly is.

like- Haymitch described so much and gave so much insight into the world, probably because he was shown to be decently content with it pre-games, and then was determined to remember the Capitol's cruelty post-games, all things considered.

and Snow was just a narcissistic perfectionist who had to have everything, *everything*, around him shown through his lens.

but Katniss was like, "Yeah, peeta has brothers, maybe. their names? that's not relevant to the plot. peeta said we're secret star-crossed lovers? surely, this can only be a ploy to make me look weak and nothing else. Did Prim die? I'm sure you can connect the dots, idiot."
