You're not your Tumblr aesthetic.

It's just....so hard to come with desi dark academia stuff. Our academia is so westernised and colonized, how do we reclaim it? Our education system imitates the west, we believe the west is superior, west, west, west, it's all about the goddamn west. Our textbooks are in English, our uniforms are western, we are taught to hate our languages and cultures. How on earth can I find desi stuff in this? I've tried to so many times. It's one thing to see pretty moodboards and textposts on Tumblr, and another to actually inculcate that in your life. I just don't know how to do the latter. I want this aesthetic to be fully part of my life, but it's becoming increasingly clear that it's not possible.
