The Blue Spirit putting out firebending with a bucket of water is the absolute funniest thing ever done in avatar combat. It just is.
i love this site bc everyone straight up encourages being out of your goddamn fucking mind
I just want to put out there that every time I see hermitcraft fanart it's always like
And then I look at their YouTube it's like
It's very funny to me as someone outside of the fandom.
Edit: you guys seem to really like this post lmao
Edit2: woah that's a lot of you!!
Edit3: GAH
What’s popping, you ask? Why, it’s my joints.
those first couple weeks after escaping a time loop have gotta be disorienting as all fuck. all those little cues that used to tell you what's about to happen are now triggers that cause you to brace for something that isn't coming. you have to relearn the permanence of death -- hell, you have reacquaint yourself with the entire concept of finality altogether. everything keeps changing but it never changes back and you keep having to remind yourself that this is normal. "it won't reset anymore," you echo to yourself, over and over and over, like a broken record, like you're still trapped in a loop, like someone who escaped the time loop but was doomed to bring it into the future with them
I removed all my stuff from twitter because of the change in policy but I still want to have this one posted somewhere cuz I think it's cool.
And also some other ones I finally had time to finish after what? like two months? damn
magic system where “dark magic” and “light magic” are literal terms - dark magic consumes photons, making an area around the spell visibly darker, sometimes to an Extreme extent, and light magic releases photons.
because of this most dark mages tend to work in very brightly-lit areas (either artificial light or outside in the daytime) to fuel their spells and wear and use lightly coloured clothes and tools so that they’re easier to see in the dimness their spells create, whereas light mages wear heavy, sometimes leaden robes (depending on the work being done) and the magical equivalent of welding masks to protect themselves from what can be an extreme amount of light, and sometimes other kinds of electromagnet radiation!
needless to say this is incredibly confusing for anyone unfamiliar with the culture
people are like "oh can I read what you wrote so far" and I'm like. no. the entire thing is in my head and I can visualize it so well that it's basically already written but unfortunately you are not in my brain so you can't see it
Teaching creative writing to 8 to 12 year olds this summer, a demographic whose stories include a shocking amount of murder. The use of "unalive" was so egregious I had to tell them, "if you aren't comfortable using the words death, die, and kill, you aren't mature enough to be writing about them yet". Kiddo asked me if that applies to adults as well, and I told them it very much does, so here's a PSA.
If you aren't comfortable using the words death, die, and kill, you aren't mature enough to be writing about them yet.
I do art. Mostly of block people, but sometimes OCs or other fandoms. It’s a fun little surprise.
