Hello gorgeous!
Chris Pine photographed by Matt Sayles.
This was so emotional. Pike saying goodbye and taking back command of the Enterprise, knowing his fate. Loved this. We are Star Fleet.
Star Trek: Discovery - Such Sweet Sorrow (Part II)
It's really important to add the rest of this statement....this is what I was born into. Kirk at this moment finally knows what his true destiny is.
Better to die saving lives, than to live with taking them. (x)
Looking back, yes it looked tacky. But the message is as pertinent today as it was in the 60s. Loved the original and love the Kelvin timeline.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series (2009 - )
“Star Trek [The Original Series] always felt like a silly, campy thing. I remember appreciating it, but feeling like I didn’t get it.” - JJ Abrams
This is hysterical
!!!Happy Marriage!!!
This is priceless!
Don't ever take about assassination. Ever!
guys watch the kittens, take your mind of things if only for a moment.
I really haven't figured out why McCoy says this. A bit of a continuity problem? Could be sarcasm or irony, but why. It was such a special moment when Spock tell Bones that he has always respected him.
I wouldn't want to give an opinion until I see the movie next Friday. He's made Kirk his own, but his work in People Like Us was wonderful. Too bad it was not a success with movie viewers.
Do you think The Finest Hours will be his best film yet over Star Trek? This could be something close to Leo with the Revenant, don't you think?
I think there are different opinions regarding what Chris’s best film is, anon, so it’s debatable! I also have a feeling that Chris’s own opinion would probably be largely different to the general audiences’. At this stage, it’s very difficult to compare Chris’s role in The Finest Hours to anything while it’s not released, but I believe the film itself has much more of a period vibe to it than The Revenant, and I don’t think it’ll be nearly as gritty, so the sort of work entailed is probably quite different from actor to actor. I’m sorry I cannot say more, anon!
I couldn't agree with you more. Kirk is a survivor with a genius intellect and a true sense of duty and loyalty. We've watched him mature, learn responsibility and earn the Chair.
our posts about jim kirk are really funny but! at the same time idk i feel like the Softness and Mess of him gets to this weird exaggerated point where yall make it seem like he needs a literal baby sitter and its like! yall! hes a star ship captain like i get that a lot of them rely on exaggeration for comedy and like, ive been guilty of this too but its still like hes a goddamn genius and he loves and takes his job very seriously so sometimes i see posts and its just like,,, hes not literally five, even if he does like to have fun, he knows how to take care of himself, hes been through a lot, and frankly the most valid hes not taking care of himself thing comes from his sense of duty to the job before even the health of himself so idk yall. idk. im not saying stop making funny posts about silly jim kirk bc i live for them and i do think hes silly and occasionally a Mess, but at the same time theres this very prevalent joke of “jim kirk has 1000 bad ideas” when hes the youngest starfleet captain for a Reason
Clinton has gone through hell and back. She's an advocate for women, equal pay, immigration, health care. She's weathered everything. She's eminently qualified. Really love what Bernie says, but Republicans would brand him a Communist...and also he's Jewish. Americans are not ready for him! PS: I'm Jewish and understand the mindset of the majority of Americans. It will be hard enough to elect a woman. And most importantly, we seem to have forgotten that the USA is a country of immigrants. And each wave has been demonized and put down. We forget very quickly.
Dear everyone who says “Oh it doesn’t matter who I vote for, Trump will never win”… it does matter. It absolutely does matter.
Britain gave in to the racist and xenophobic rhetoric. And the consequences to the EU - and to the world at large - will be catastrophic.
I don’t care if you hate Hillary. I don’t care if you think Hillary killed your cat and stole your yogurt. I don’t care. You have to vote for her. You HAVE to vote for her. You cannot allow a megalomaniac racist piece of shit like Donald Trump become the President of the United States of America.
Do not give in to fear and hatred. Do not allow xenophobia and bigotry to run this nation. Do not. Do not. Do not.
I never thought I’d see the day where a nation like Great Britain allowed hatred and fear to rule. Don’t let that happen here.
