I haven't abandoned this story. I just put it on the back burner for now. The story is just on a small vacation. It is currently out of office. It can't come to the phone right now. It just fell under my bed to sleep with the monsters. It never left my head. It is everywhere - except on paper.

Okay so i recently started doing dissections in my biology class and if you’ve ever done a dissection you know that you have to flip the left and right because you are facing the specimen, which leads me to a head canon:

Scully constantly gets her left and right confused. Not when shes autopsying, thats the only time she actually knows it, but shes terrible at giving and taking directions. She’ll look at a map and tell Mulder to turn right only to realize three miles later that they were supposed to go left. Mulder will tell her the paper she’s looking for is in the pile on her left and she only looks in the right stack 1 in 3 times

Hey!!! I did end up making a post about this, cannon is wrong not me, i am aware that this is establish in s3e23 wetwired❤️ i don’t feel like digging through my blog to find it so ill just reiterate myself: it doesn’t make logical sense for him to be red/green color blind. In either colony or endgame or both (i cant remember off the too of my head) he can tell the difference between green “alien blood” and red human blood, so he is not red green color blind as he does not perceive one as the other and can clearly see the distinction (it does happen other times in cannon but i dont feel like digging through the wiki rn)

Edit: also if he were color blind enough not to be able to perceive the colors in wetwired he would’ve failed a Farnsworth D-15 test and not be allowed to be in the FBI it was a throw away line plot device that they didn’t think through

So a while ago i was writing a “5 times scully was getting flirted with and mulder noticed and 1 time she did” but i never finished it and I never got to the part i really wanted to write but its pride month so I’m going to erite that singular scene right now ready go:

Carefully, after the car already started moving, Mulder said, “wow Scully, even women flirt with you.” Scully turned sharply, luckily he was the one driving.

“What do you mean?”

“That witness-“

“You mean the one in that white top?” Scully asked. Mulder nodded to her. “No.”

“Yeah, definitely.” Scully buried her red face in her hands.

“Mulder turn the car around,” she said. Mulder blinked in surprise… that had not been the reply he was expecting. He almost followed her instructions until his brain caught up with his body.

“What- no!”

“Oh come on! If it were you-“

“If it were me you would tell me I was being unprofessional!”

“Mulder.”

“Scully.”

“Please?”

“No, I want to get to bed.” That was a lie. Mulder didn’t care about going to sleep, he did, however, care about Scully going to flirt with someone else.
