The Mandalorian - Chapter 16: The Rescue
#never forget that din djarin jr#commonly known as adorable green menace extraordinaire#was planning to steal cara’s hard earned cash#at this exact moment in time
The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 8 - Din x Cara
helmetless Din sketch because why not?
Grogu probably did a neat Jedi trick to make him proud; or simply just existed
text because my handwriting sucks:
*Proud Dad Smile*
Cara: Ha ha! Careful, Mando, if I knew better I’d say you were smiling!
Din: *embarrassed Mandalorian noises*
I decided to torture myself and looked up Din x Cara on twitter and just mainly saw hate/disgust and someone saying something like, “how dense do you have to be to not get lesbian vibes from Cara” can you pls give some headcanons for caradin to heal me gal twitter rotted my brain
People who determine a person's sexuality by their looks are displaying such ignorance they're not even worth my time. All the important ladies in the show are being labelled as lesbians because they’re strong and wear armour. Because everybody knows a woman can’t wear an armour and fight unless she’s a lesbian. There are no strong female characters who are not lesbians, it’s a fact. (I'm pretty sure these people would see me as a lesbian, too, if they saw me. Joke's on them.)
Everybody preaches freedom, as long as it's their own. Oh well.
Anyways, CaraDin headcanons:
Cara is a great cook and takes great pride in feeding her boys
sometimes Din forgets what he’s doing because he catches Cara working out and she obviously starts doing that on purpose just to see him get clumsy
Grogu love snuggling with either of his parents but he especially loves it when he can snuggle in the middle of them... all night long. (Goodbye intimacy.)
Din is the Mad’alor and Cara is a Ranger of the New Republic: they’re a pretty famous power couple around the galaxy
Din hates anything politcs-related but loves being the head of his people when it comes to helping them, especially because his wife is a very kind and hard-working consort
I hope this was enough to cheer you up! Stay away from toxic environments, in the future, okay?
are they… you know… [trying to die for each other while adamantly refusing to acknowledge their feelings] soulmates?
ok so shipper goggles time but can we talk about the framing of the scene just before Cara and Din go to fight the raiders in Chapter 4? Where Din is talking to Omera
In the scene Cara walks between them in a distance and is framed in the middle of them. Now It could be tin hats but hear me out! The FRAMING IS SO SIGNIFICANT! Here is Din staring at the option of a peaceful and quiet life of sitting around and watching kids and right in the middle walks a literal representation of a life of excitement! It isn’t an interruption by the CHILD! The child would represent where he is now. They are separated by CARA! A brand new person in his life that instantly got his attention by being just as good as, if not better than but that might be my bias of being totally in love with her fork, him and pulling him deeper into a that life of adventure and danger! Which is amazing for representing Din’s struggle in this episode between the lives he could want just thematically. Now hear me out as a shipper.
Even when we see Cara actively ENCOURAGING Din to settle down with Omera she is always visually in the way. No the Child CARA! The child could have been used. He’s always used as an interruption. Instead we see a lot of fighting side by side and some sort of positive tension build ever scene with Din and Cara. We also see most scenes with Din and Omera interspersed or somehow interrupted with Cara. SO THE POSITION THAT OMERA WANTS TO HAVE IS INTERRUPTED BY CARA! CARA IS IN THE WAY!
Here I posit: From the beginning we are visually being told that Cara will keep the Mandalorian from falling in love or settling down. Why? Here is my hypothesis: BECAUSE HE’S FUCKING IN LOVE WITH HER! Prove me Wrong!!! but not really cause this is just for fun and i kinda like this ship
