Classic WoW vs. Retail WoW

Someone posted a cool RP prompt on the WoW forums with all the Classic hype. They asked a number of questions for those playing current characters and how they were 8 years ago in vanilla.

Where was your character during Classic? William “Billy” Skellig was a forsaken privateer(undead rogue) during this time, prior to his 2nd death before being raised once more as a death knight. In this timespan, he served in the Windrunner Fleet, earning his way to Captain of the Dark Defiance.

What was your character’s personality like, in the Classic era? He was a little more outgoing and reckless during this time as he had been released from the scourge and had regained his free will. He felt his resurrected life meant he had been given a second chance and he certainly wasn’t going to let the Lady Sylvanas down by wasting his new undead life.

What was your character doing during Classic WoW? He spent much of his time raiding bloodsail and brashtide vessels for both the Banshee Queen and the Blackwater Raiders. On occasion, he would seek out artifacts and treasures at the request of the Windrunner Fleet. (Hint: some potential classic guild storylines INC!!)

Have your character’s values changed over the 8 years that’ve passed between Classic and BfA? If so, how and why? Yes. When he fell in battle shortly before year 27, only to be raised once again as a death knight - once again under Arthas’ command and subsequently given free will once again after the Battle of Light’s Hope - he now knows he’s on borrowed time. Twice cursed and twice damned by the Lich King will put a damper on your spirit. All that time serving a bloody blade under the Lich King put enough horrors in his mind to fracture his sanity somewhat. Since then he’s become dark, brooding, and suspicious of others.

What's your favorite character in the whole Potc franchise?

Pre-DMTNT I would have said either Davy Jones or Barbossa, and I still love them a lot, but honestly I have to go with Salazar, he’s just…..amazing.

Just new to the concept of Drabble writing. Here's one of my latest attempts.

Cannons erupted like thunder across the waters as two ships broadsided each other. The larger brig of the Kul Tiran Navy outgunned the smaller cutter of the pirates, but where the pirates lacked in firepower, they made up for in tenacity. Billy heaved on the heavy bronze cannon to reload another shot. Like sangrenel rounds, they used bags filled with tar in hopes to ignite fires on the enemy brig. Billy stirred the bubbling pot filled with tar, thick and black like coffee. Then the sailor loaded the shot followed by the water-drenched bag of tar. “FIRE!” the master gunner yelled.
