It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it becomes rigid and stale.
Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. True humility is the only antidote to shame.
Many things that seem threatening in the dark become welcoming when we shine light on them.
There are reasons each of us are born. We have to find those reasons.
Life happens wherever you are, whether you make it or not.
While it is always best to believe in one’s self, a little help from others can be a great blessing.
Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel. You can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place.
There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you, help you.
You will find that if you look for the light, you can often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see.
There’s nothing wrong with a life of peace. I suggest you think about what it is that you want from your life, and why.
Protection and power are overrated. I think you are very wise to choose happiness and love.
Sometimes the best way to solve your own problems is to help someone else.
You have light and peace inside of you. If you let it out, you can change the world around you.
If Satan has a fursona what would it be, I’ve been thinking it’s either a bunny or a wolf
Isn’t that how you make friends though?
Sweet
A million thoughts pass through our minds each day and are lost. Capturing the odd important ones and immortalising them with pen and ink is simply magical.
Lots of people who follow the craft hold a grimoire (or a hundred just because we found the covers pretty). We put lots of thought into what it looks like, what we are going to put into it but rarely what we are going to write in it with.
Making your own ink allows you to charge it and ensure that it won’t fade with time.
Indian ink is famous for not fading with time, creating the blackest of blacks and being really smooth. This is because no grinding is required as the main ingredient is common soot.
To make it all you need is a candle, a metal spoon, a piece of paper, a dish and lots of patience.
Under a full moon for positive charging, light the candle and hold the spoon above the flame, soot will form on the metal surface. Remove from the heat and using the paper scrape it off into the bowl. Repeat and Repeat and Repeat. You can match the candle to the intent such as green for increased wealth. This makes the act of writing an actual spell in its own right. If you have access to an oil burner you can use this instead of candle and add essential oils to build in an even more complex spell such as (Lavender, Rosemary and clove for long health). It is a slow process which brings its own peace as a form of meditation.
Warning if the spoon gets hot, stop or use an oven glove.
The collected soot is also known as Lampblack is a very fine carbon (the same as charcoal) Carbon is well known in protection spells and as a hex breaker. Writing with this ink creates a powerful protection as your book of shadows grows.
Dissolve gum Arabic in vodka or gin till you reach a nice consistency. Add this to the lampblack a little at a time until you are happy with the ink. It’s that simple.
Tip : If using an oil burner you may get impurities such as trace amounts of oil in the soot. These could make the lampblack clump. To avoid this simply place on a suitable container and pass over a blowtorch to refine it.
@suca-loca ngl that’s sorta hot. I’ll eat though
I tried to scroll past this. I really did
