As the end of May approached, a warm afternoon shone in the halls of Hogwarts. The sun hit the many stone floors and walls through the windows in the castle, this was not the case for the Potions classroom. Ron would’ve said he was dying. In fact, he was pretty sure this was the most torturous way to die, being bored to death by Snape’s class. It wasn’t that he thought of Potions as boring, however, Snape just managed to make anything he touched completely unbearable.
That along with a very bad night of sleep did not help. He had been having nightmares again, and he felt absolutely exhausted. Homework, prefect duties, the Tournament, and Quidditch training were driving him absolutely mad. Surely Snape wouldn’t notice him resting his eyes for a bit, right? Right.
People began to pack up, and Snape erased the blackboard. The students walked out and he noticed that there seemed to be an obstruction in one of the lines. Ron Weasley was sleeping soundly on his desk. A good surprise for a frustratingly simple day, nonetheless, a good surprise. Walking near his desk, Snape poked him with his wand. Weasley did not move. Instead, he only mumbled something in his sleep.
Snape whacked him with some parchment paper on the top of his head. With a start, Weasley woke up.
“Pepper-Up Potion,” he exclaimed in a hurried and slurred voice. He blinked a few times and looked up at Snape. His face immediately paled as he looked around and saw that Potter and Granger were both staring at him from afar, probably ready to jump in the defence of their friend.
“I suggest,” said Snape. “You use your Potions book for actual reading, instead of sleeping, Mr. Weasley.”
“I––”
“Five points will be taken from Gryffindor,” he continued, cutting his student off. “And I expect three extra inches on your essay. Surely, it will be nothing to the Champion of Gryffindor.”
Weasley looked at Snape with a sour and hateful glare. He picked up his books and cauldron. Weasley uttered something under his breath.
‘Insolent dunderhead,’ the Potions professor thought.
“May I know what it was you decided to mutter under your breath so cowardly, Mr. Weasley?”
Potter and Granger looked worried and tried talking him out of it, but with a determined look in his eyes, Weasley turned around.
“I said piss off, arsehole,” he said clearly angered, and outraged before, he shut the door of the dungeons.

For the trope game...Romione for Fairy tale AU and Prision AU. Oh and Percy/Audrey for Airport/Travel AU.
Romione – Fairy Tale Prison AU
Hermione had been locked up in her tower for all of her life. She had never truly experienced what was like living, until she met him. His red hair, his charming smile, his blue eyes that seemed to have been stolen from the sky itself. Prince Ron. They had met each other when she had been reading a book by a window in her tower, or her small prison cell as she began calling it nowadays.
He had been so new to Hermione, she had not met any other people besides her adoptive mother. At first she disliked him, his poor manners, his vulgar language, and his habit of being extremely tactless. Yet, she couldn't help but fall in love with him.
Of course their romance was short lived. Hermione's adoptive mother had caught them, and using magic she sent wild and violent canaries to her beloved prince, blinding his eyes and leaving him from ever seeing her face again. She had kicked Hermione from the tower and left her to roam the streets. Ron had been mistaken as a beggar and had accidentally angered a Prince from a neighboring kingdom called Malfoy.
He had been thrown into prison to rot for the rest of his days. But, Hermione had found a window, and every night she read him one of the stories they read together in her tower. There came one day that the grief and pain of not being together was too much for Hermione and she wept over the small cell bars that kept her apart from Ron, her tears landed on his bandaged eyes, and unbeknownst to her healed him.
After regaining his eyesight and clearing himself off all charges Ron took Hermione to his own Kingdom, where they lived happily ever after.
Sorry for the rushed story. I guess I'm better with elements I'm familiar with and this two AUs were my kryptonite.
I think I did a better job on the next one.
Perdrey – Airport Travel AU
The first time he sees her it's a surprise, but a good one nonetheless. She is different yet similar to him. She reminds him of home, perhaps it's the laptop that she always seems to carry around where she writes seemingly non-stop, just like him.
Perhaps it's the abrasiveness that he's so accustomed to. How she seems to only take yes for an answer whenever she speaks to any of the staff in the airport. How she's not afraid to point out others mistakes.
It's not love, it can't be, because he doesn't even know her. He sees her every couple of weeks. Her job seems to involve traveling like his. He wonders if perhaps it's a sign, or maybe he's just looking for them, looking for a reason to get some courage and talk to her. They're all brave in his family, even his baby brother and sister are brave. But he doesn't seem to share the family trait.
They travel to the same place. They end up in the same hotel in Costa Rica. They meet each other. They have dinner. They walk by the coast. They talk about their families, friends, jobs and he can't help, but notice how beautiful she is when she's working and when she's not working.
He kisses her, but still doesn't go further than that. They travel back home and he wonders if he should've done it. The logical side in him tells him how hard-working their relationship would be, it tells him how it's not worth it if they're going to get their hearts broken.
But then he sees her, just a couple of weeks after he's back when he has to go to the airport again. She still looks beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. And he forgets his job, he forgets that the plane ticket he's going to miss is going to come out of his pocket , he doesn't care because she's there and he's brave. Brave for her at least.
She's about to go by the metal detector and his voice seems to come alive on its own. She's looking at him and he's an idiot for not being brave. He reaches for her and kisses her. She kisses him back.
They take some time off work and spend a long deserving vacation together. They know they'll have to go back. They won't see each other for some time because of their work. But work seems pretty boring when they're kissing on a bench in Venice.

sometimes the right opinion is unpopular (lol, jk, not trying to start any ship wars)
Romione supremacy! Long live Ron and Hermione's superior love.
No idea if this is still unpopular opinion but romione is the best developed relationship in books. They had a genuine love for one another as friends and respected one another and they were truly in love. Even after all these years, they are still my favorite couple because their relationship wasnt built on lust but pure love ❤️
Hey, sometimes the right opinion is unpopular (lol, jk, not trying to start any ship wars). But yes, it was clearly evident that there was a path and a side story for these two and is such a shame that it is often overlooked. Romione will always and forever be my favorite literary couple (even if the movies did them dirty).
Always see “real women” posts so here’s one for the dudes.
