I don’t think I was trying to hold her to anything. That was not my intention. My main point that I was trying to get to is that your reader is very important too. I think that this person talking about the reader and belittling them, even though she was not meaning to is like telling a little kid that they can’t have candy. I’m not saying you shouldn’t write for yourself. Trust me, that’s how I started too. That’s how anyone starts. You have to remember that I’m a fic writer too. I understand where you are coming from. But to take away the part of the reader and telling them to stop demanding and saying to write their own fics is like telling a two year old to go walk. Something which some readers have never done before. It’s not to say they are lazy, but some really feel that they are incapable of trying, so they look to the writers of the fandom to help alleviate some of their pain. And to say that writing for the audience is only for writers to get paid is an oxymoron because fic writers have it in their ask boxes and ask readers on tumble every day the question of what they should write. And in the end, it is the reader for most writers who continue on with a story in the first place. An example would be writers block; The writer looked to the reader for motivation

Again, I am not taking away anything or setting a standard for anything, but I’m just saying that readers have a bigger part than we think.

Unpopular opinion it seems… and that’s cool, I’m ok with that. Here’s the deal. Glen is not the villain you all seem to want to make him out to be. Gigi is not the innocent victim she wants to be painted as either. Fandom is so toxic and has such a sheep mentality for real. I know people will come for me and say that I’m blindly defending Glen. But it’s crickets when it comes to toxic feminists. Gigi isn’t dumb. She knew how to get exactly what she wanted from this situation and drive the narrative in her favor. She posted and deleted a goodbye to the Powells in November I believe…. Was MIA in Dec and has been in and out since. Their relationship was already on the outs. Little miss was seen getting cozy with a male friend in Miami and NYC and y’all aren’t calling foul on that….. he even tagged and left red hearts for her…. Double standard?? Meanwhile you’re cool will her using Glen and his celeb status to elevate herself and her business while dragging him thru the mud with cheating allegations?? She latched on to fan driven narrative over photos from a RomCom set and turned it to her advantage.

Sending Glen hate, commenting on all posts he’s tagged in, dragging him on all platforms… it’s toxic, unhealthy, uncool, and shows mental instability. I’m not saying doing the same to Gigi would be ok bc it’s not.

I am legit hoping that Glen’s mental health is doing ok and he’s living HIS best life. That man deserves happiness and a healthy relationship because everything I see coming to light from this last one has all sorts of red flags. Is he perfect? No. Is anyone? No. There are WAY more messy celebs in Hollywood that actually would deserve the heat for their actions…. Glen is one of the good ones. He has worked his ass off to get where he’s at and I hate seeing it being tainted by a bitter ex gf trying to stay relevant. Earlier this summer, my boyfriend’s family unfortunately lost their sweetest and most active member of their little group, Eli. He truly was my boyfriend’s best friend, having spent almost 7 wonderful years in the family, and it’s been a rough couple months since then.

While things are getting better, my second family is once again facing some hardships, this time with my would be sister-in-law and her pup. He has as of yesterday, I believe, gone through surgery but this was expensive and the follow-ups of the complications he had are definitely taking a toll on my SIL.
