PSA for Switch owners

The latest 11.0 update means that Google Analytics is a thing on the switch and turned on. What that means is that Nintendo has a deal with Google to share with them your data for advertisement purposes.

To turn it off

go to the eShop

go to your profile where your funds and account info is

go down to the bottom of the page

there you will see “Google Analytics Preferences”

select the Change

select “Don’t Share”

Please spread the word. Really shitty of Nintendo to just quietly start allowing Google to spy on users for advertising.

btw while people continue to fight the system don't forget about Undue Medical Debt (formerly RIP Medical Debt), a charity that buys and forgives medical debt. on average a donation of $10 will forgive $1,000 of medical debt.

parents told me last night after seeing my maga sister at church that they are giving me til next sunday to leave. the waitlists for shelters here are very long. i live outside of the city anyways in a rural area & would have to walk for hours to get to one without an uber/lyft etc. unless one of my few acquaintances from high school who might still live in the city can take me in for the rest of the month i probably will be sleeping in a tent outside in the cold with packs of noisy coyotes about. i have a place to go in january, i just need money to eat while i’m here & get my stuff there so i don’t have to abandon my things for my parents to sell.
