I love that Demetri accepts Eli back immediately. I think at the time it was what was needed for both of them. But at the same time Hawk put Demetri through a lot and we never see them actually discuss that aspect of their relationship. Yes, we can assume they talked about it off screen but that moment from Demetri makes it clear they didn’t.

Yes it was said in a moment of heated anger and I don’t think that Demetri would have ever said that otherwise but it at least shows that he still is dealing with that. That he has some residual anger that he hasn’t let himself really feel because he wanted to be a good friend.

I’m all about the fluff of their relationship (i mean look at the fanfics i wrote about them lmao. It’s my fave) but I really wanted more angst between them especially in s4. I hope that even if they don’t go the route of really diving into that aspect, that they continue to acknowledge it. Acknowledge that Demetri absolutely can be holding onto that anger.

I think this disagreement between them could absolutely be a catalyst to a genuine discussion surrounding what Hawk did to Demetri. I want, NEED, it. Because Demetri got Eli back sure, but now he has to deal with the fact that he might lose him again. Demetri probably is thinking along the lines of “He’s ditched me for something else before, what’s stopping him from doing it again” At least in my perspective. That yeah Eli can promise they won’t lose what they’ve got but again, it’s happened before. And that’s so INTERESTING.

Now, whether the show actually goes that route is an entirely different subject. All I have is speculation and hope.

I hope we all never forget this: we don't know Eric Harris, we just know Reb. All we know is what Eric wanted to show us and small comments that reveal a less angry side of him. We live with assumptions of who Eric was, never with 100% sure. We don't know Eric Harris like we know Dylan Klebold and we never will.

One of the saddest parts actually is that Eric will always be seen as a "cold psychopath" because of this lack of information, and yes, Cullen was a great disseminator of this idea. Eric is called a psychopath mainly because of his diary — or rather, Reb's diary — made to reach the general public after the massacre, just like big part of the basement tapes (which have not been fully released, only transcripts). In other words, made to be shoking and extreme.

Almost everything we have about Harris is orchestrated, it was put together by him to be seen that way. So in the end, we only know Dylan, V and Reb, we will never know Eric.

Two Face is such a tragic character cause he was the handsome and charming DA that was going to pull Gotham out of hell along side Gordon and Batman and then Maroni splashed that acid and it was all over. He’s tried so many times to get back to his life, to get back to Gordon, and Batman, and Bruce but something always goes wrong and he ends back up as two face. And I just think it’s so sad. He is literally doomed to fail by the narrative. His loved ones are doomed to watch him fail over and over again, he truly is one of Batman’s most tragic villains.
