Writing advice that changed my sentence

When I was a young writer, I was told that I often started my sentences with "there is/there was/there are." I was told to eliminate those as much as possible.

I couldn't believe how often I used them. My first novel was completely littered with them.

I learned to diversify and grow my use of verbs. Instead of the state-of-being verbs, like "is" which isn't very descriptive at all, I started using stronger verbs.

Instead of writing "There were a bunch of trees on the hill" I wrote "A cluster of trees towered over the hill."

"Towered" is a much stronger verb than "Is"

Use the state-of-being words, but if you can, try replacing them with more active verbs. You might be surprised how much your writing improves.

new story > old story

stop repeating your old story. stop focusing on the 3d. stop dwelling on what's happening around you. stop assuming you can't manifest.

the new story, the life you want, the desires you're trying to manifest, IT'S ALL ALREADY YOURS. it's all already happened. as soon as you think about it and see it in your 4d, that means you've made it real. that means you've started movement. you've started the process of it reflecting back in your 3d. but you are never going to see this reflection if you keep focusing on what is already in front of you, because that is ALL that you're going to keep seeing.

there is nothing you're 'trying' to manifest. again, as soon as you decide in the 4d that you want something, you've already made that desire real. your subconscious just hasn't reflected those assumptions back in your 3d yet, there for, you can't see it. but there are millions of things that you can't see, yet you still know it's there and it's real.

i'm in america right now, but just because i can't see europe right in front of me, doesn't mean i don't think it's real.

there's a car in my driveway, but just because i'm sitting in my bedroom and it's not directly in front of me, doesn't mean the car isn't really there.

the same concept applies to your desires.

you already have everything you want. as soon as you start telling yourself the new story in your 4d, and you start living solely in your mind, and pay no regard to the 3d, you will see those new assumptions reflect.

imagination creates reality.

stop holding yourself back. stop telling yourself there's no movement. stop telling yourself it won't manifest. stop telling yourself the 3d isn't going to change. when you do that, when you dwell on doubts, when you focus on what you can't see, you aren't giving your subconscious any chance to reflect the 4d into the 3d.

live in the end. feel at peace that it's done. be at ease that your desires are real. think as if you already have it, because you do.

there is nothing in this world that can stop your manifestation coming to you besides yourself - don't be your own cause of failure

Music Magick ✨

So, I've been learning about types of Magick, and recently (tbh Apollo an Hermes kept sending signals to my face since years before now) I learned about Music Witches/Sorcerers and It made a lot of sense to me, I remember growing up going to Azapa each summer, a valley in the North of Chile, the night was really scary for me, specially going up the stairs to my bedroom, because the stairs were outside the house and my family used to tell a lot of demon and ghost stories or abduction tales about other children in the valley. But my grandma told me that spirits and entities where scared of people singing, because a song is 2 times more powerful than a prayer. So every time I got scare I started singing out loud, then I started putting music to clean the energies, and my family always claps when they're trying to tell "someone" to go off our home. Also, I don't know who taught me this, but every time I want to protect myself I snap my fingers and do shapes in the air snapping, like triangles or squares in the air.

So what's a Music Witch or Sorcerer?

A person that works with music, rhythm and sound. It could play an instrument, sing chants, hum, clap, or simply use playlist or music for intention setting during spellwork or rituals to channel/focus their energy. Music workers have the ability to spell cast with their music, make all music magical, get messages through music, communicate with spirits with music, elevate the vibrations of people or rooms with sound; and usually are people that listen to music constantly and have a good ear for it.

Journal Prompts for Your Self-Esteem

The other day I was in the shower and I was thinking about things I could write about when I want to motivate myself or give myself a confidence boost. These are some of the ideas I came up with and I think they could be really beneficial and encouraging.

While thinking about these things, you may begin to doubt yourself or compare yourself to other people, but I’m telling you right now: DON’T DO THAT. It does not matter how big or small you think these things are. These prompts are meant to generate big and small reminders of how dope you are :)

1. What are 10 (or more) things you like about yourself?

2. What things do you want to do or try that can help you feel good about yourself? For example, I’ve been considering trying out individual lashes and recently started looking into LHR. Also, going to the gym even if it’s just for a walk on the treadmill. Literally, if you go once a week for fun just do something.

3. Think about some of your accomplishments in recent years. Describe them to your younger self and imagine how they would feel.

4. What are 10 (or more) things that you like about your life?

5. What are your energy givers? The big and small things that you do that make you feel joy? I loveee my yoga mat. I can lay on it, do nothing, and be happy. It’s that simple. Also washing my face in the morning :)

I want to EMPHASIZE that these things can be simple, everyday things. Do it for yourself without comparing yourself to other people. This is for you and you onlyyy.

today's the last day of school, so i'm grateful for, (and very proud of) all of the work i put in the past semester (and the past year). i'm very grateful for finishing the difficult year alive and well. i'm also grateful for time. i have more time these past few days, now that the semester's over, i've had more time to sleep, exercise, and do things i love.
