Chapter One: “That Day”

Shoes Screeching Against The Gym Floor, the White Volleyball In the Air Of the Gym, The only Sound Was her Breathing As She Watched the Ball Float Closer Towards Their Side Of the Net.

Miku Reached Over her arms, Instantly Receiving the Ball, it Launched Closer towards Their Team’s Setter, Sora, Sora Set it To Miku Once She Had Gotten Closer towards it, Miku Jumped High in the Air The Space Clear To where She Should Spike the Ball.

She Hit it With a Powerful Smack! The Ball Flew towards the Opposing Team’s Side, Hitting the Floor Scoring a Point For Aoba Johsai.

Sweat Drenched Miku’s Face, Rolling Down in intervals, Her Hand Ached but She Couldn’t Pay Attention to her Throbbing Hand, Or the Slight Twinge Of Pain In her Left Ankle.

It was now the 3rd Set, Usually Volleyball Games Consisted Of Four Sets before the Entire Game Ended and the Team With the Most Points Moved onto the Next Game in the Prefecture, But as She Stared At the Board Seeing the Score She Knew She Had to win the 3rd Set without Messing up.

The Spiker Of the Other Team, Which was Of the Female Nekoma Team, Quicky Spiked the Ball Over towards them, the Two Middle Blockers Of Miku’s Team, Miyaki and Lyla Jumped Up Holding Their Hands Outstretched with their Fingers Splayed Out to stop the Ball From Going Over the Next.

The Ball Quickly was Blocked and Went Back Over the Net on Nekoma’s Side, Miyaki And Lyla Watched as it Landed on their Side of the Floor, the Libero Of their Team Failing to Get the Ball Back up in the Air.

The Two, Which Were Sisters By the way, Twins at that, Let Out a Cheer Raising their Fists Which where Clenched Tightly into the Air.

“Guys! We Just Won the 3rd Set!” Lyla Cheered High Fiving Miyaki as She Did So, Miku Shook Her Head Smiling Softly at her Happy Go lucky Teammates.

“Hold your Horses, the Games Not Done Yet, We still Have The Fourth and Final Set to Win.” Miku Said, She Took the Towel the Manager Offered her, Which was a Skinny Male Named Kai Who had Just Became Their Manager of Last Week.

She Wiped Off the Sweat From her Face, seeing Iwaizumi, and the Rest of the Aoba Johsai’s Male Volleyball Team, Come Over Towards her.

Iwaizumi Holding a Freshly Filled Water Bottle, It was Handed to her as She Finished Drying the Sweat From her Face.

“You need to Hydrate.” Iwaizumi Said Firmly as She Took the Cold Water Bottle, Pressing it to her Lips She took Three Big Gulps Of the Cold but Refreshing Water.

She Set It On the Bench Where a Couple Of 1st Years Were Sitting, Only to be Put in if Someone was Injured Or had Passed Out.

“Thanks Iwa, I honestly Didn’t think we Would win that Third Set.” She Admitted Looking over to her Tired But Eager Teammates.

Oikawa Playfully Slapped Her Shoulder, also Earning A Scowl from Iwaizumi As He Did So.

“It’s Okay Miku–Chan, Just Look on towards the Final Set, that’s The Winning One.” Oikawa Said as Mattsun Snorted Behind Him Obviously Trying not to Laugh While Makki Was Stifling his Laughs in his Hands.

Though Iwaizumi Noticed She was Leaning Off Of Her Left Ankle and Putting all of Her Weight on her Right Ankle.

“Hey, is Your Ankle okay?” Iwaizumi Asked, Motioning Towards The Ankle She wasn’t Leaning On.

She Looked Down at her Ankle and Gave a Sheepish Smile, “Oh it’s Fine Iwa, I’m Sure I just Stepped on it Wrong.” She Made Up the Excuse So She Could Focus on the Fourth and Final Set of this Game.

Iwaizumi Squinted Suspiciously at Miku Who shrugged, Looking at her Teammates Who Were Practicing Some New Receives The Coach Had Wanted them to Try Out on the Court.

Soon after a 50 Minute Break The Whistle Blew for Players To Get in Position for the Final Set, Miku Quickly Got into action in the Middle Of Her Teammates Positions.

She Held the Ball This Time in her Hands Ready for a Starting Serve Since Aoba Johsai had Won the Previous Set.

She Took a Deep Breath Before Lifting the Ball into The Air, Her Form Graceful as She Lifted up and Slapped the Ball With a Smack!, the Ball Flew To the Other Side Of The Court Landing on the Opposing teams Side Of the Floor Winning the First Point for Aoba Johsai.

She Landed on the Ground, Hurting Her Ankle Just a Tad Bit More, Letting Out A Grunt as She Did So, She Gritted her Teeth as The Nekoma Team’s Captain Scowled at Miku.

Soon enough she was back on her Feet Glaring the Opposing Team Down, As She Rested her Hands On her Knees Hunched Down for a Moment.

As the Prepared herself to win this Final Set.

The Ball was Slammed Back over the Night Past Miyaki and Lyla as They Missed Blocking It, it Flew Past her Other Teammates Coming Towards Miku’s Face.

Acting on her Own Athletic Instinct She Reached her arms Out Twisting her Ankle once Again, Feeling A Twinge Of Pain in her Left Foot, She Bounced the Ball back Over to Sora, Who Set it to Lyla, Who Spiked It over on their Side Scoring a Point for Aoba Johsai.

Her Ankle Pain was Throbbing Now, as She Leaned Down to Rub her Now Slightly Swollen Ankle before Coming Back Up, She Tried Waking On it To Get Closer to Do a Fast Attack With Sora But a Flashing, White Pain Shot up her Foot and Lower Thigh.

“Agh!” She Groaned Before Falling, Miyaki Barely Catching her as She Collapsed her Chest into Miyaki’s arms.

“Captain!” Lyla Shouted, Her and Sora Moving all too Quickly to Get Towards her, The Libero Of their Team, Mila, Racing over as Well.

Iwaizumi and Oikawa Also Raced Over with the Medic of the Female Volleyball Team, The Medic Helped Miku Sit down on the Gym Floor While She Felt Up her Ankle and Carefully Rotating it, She was able to Halfway Rotate it Until Miku Yelped When She Felt Some Pain While Doing So.

“Her Ankle?” Oikawa asked, His Brown Eyes Looking into The Medics, Who Nodded Encouragingly Towards Oikawa and Iwaizumi Before Addressing Miku.

“You being Able to Halfway Rotate it Means It Wasn’t a Break, You might have Badly Sprained it Or Twisted it.” She Explained, Smiling Softly.

So it Wasn’t Broken to the Point Of her Never Playing Volleyball Again? No, But She Would Still probably Be Out For at Least 5 Months Or More Depending on the Healing Process and what Doctors At the Hospital Say.

“Someone Needs to Drive her to the Hospital Though, She Obviously needs and X–Ray and Pain Meds.” The Medic Said, Turning Her Blue Eyes Between Oikawa and Iwaizumi.

“I can Do it.” Iwaizumi Said, But Miku Shook her head, “No Iwa, We’re so Close to Winning this Final Set!” She Tried to Move But Iwaizumi Stopped her Pushing her back Down to A Sitting Position.

“Baby, it’s Not worth it, it’s Not Worth it Sweetheart.” Iwaizumi Soothed her, She Finally let Tears Fall Down her Face.

“You can Trust me to take the Team to win this.” Sora Kneeled Down in front Of her best Friend Giving a Teary Smile.

“Trust your Vice Captain, Captain.” Lyla Said From Next To Miyaki, Miku Looked at her Her Team, Before Giving a Simple Nod And Turning her Gaze to Sora.

“Take them all the Way To Nationals.”

The Doctor Stared at the X–Ray That was Taken Of Her Foot and Ankle, Her Face Scrunched up as She Stared At it.

She was Hooked Up to an IV While They Determined her action of Care While being Injured, “I do Thank you Iwaizumi–San For Being her Here.” The Doctor Thanked her Boyfriend before Explaining Her Situation.

“Miku’s Left Foot and Ankle Have been Severely Strained, Luckily It Turned out to be a Severe Sprain and not a Complete Break in the ankle Or Foot.” The Doctor Started to Explain, Pointing to Different Sections Of Her Foot and Ankle.

Miku Looked Down for a Second before She Started to Talk again, “Due to this We Will Have to Limit How Much Movement Of he Ankle She Needs, She Needs to Rest it as Much As Possible Until this Sprain Heals, and Physical Therapy too, We Can’t Limit all of her Movement.” The Doctor Said.

She swallowed Knowing What Came Next, Sora had gone Through the Same thing When She Had Strained her ACL So Much That She Couldn’t Play for 5 Months, She Awaited for the Female to Tell her How Long She Couldn’t Play for.

“That Means You Can’t Play Volleyball for at Least Two Months, if you Do There Could be a Tipping Point Where it Could Easily Break Now that it’s Sprained this Badly.” the Doctor Said Making Her Instructions Clear and Firm With a Stern Voice.

She Closed her Eyes as the New Information Settled into her System, No Volleyball for Two Months, That Would be Like Torture to her.

Iwaizumi Looked at her, Seeing her Eyes Turned away From the Doctor’s Stern Gaze, She Loved to Play Volleyball, it was her Life, Much Like Oikawa, To where She Neglected When She Needed To Rest.

“Listen Miku, If you Do any Kind Of Volleyball Without My Say So, You Could Injure Yourself to the Point of never Playing Volleyball Again, you Could Wind up Injuring your ACL.” the Doctor Explained, She Looked Up at the Doctor, her Face Scrunched up with Disappointment.

“How Long do I have to Rest the ankle before I can Start Practicing again?” She Asked, Anxiously Picking at the Knee Braces She Held In her Hand, She also Looked at her Phone Hoping that Sora Would Text her Soon on the News Of Who won the Volleyball Game.

“At Least One Month, if it Starts Feeling Better By then I will Let you Practice.” the Doctor Said, Smiling Sympathetically at Miku Who Nodded Finally Agreeing to get some Rest.

She Knew Something was Wrong When her ankle Started to Ache the First time She Landed on it Wrong, it was her Fault She Didn’t Stop to Rest the Ankle a bit before Jumping Back into the Second Set.

She Could Only Hope to Jump back into the Carefree air of Playing Volleyball.

You Clenched the Bedsheets Tightly Between your Nimble Fingers, you could also Feel the Anxiety Bubbling Up in the Pit Of Your Stomach ready to Explode in your Chest.

You Tried to Tell yourself that it Would Only Be a Few More Hours until Dabi Came Home, But the Itching Feeling was Becoming Unbearable, and Before You Knew it you Were In the Bathroom, Sitting on the Cold Tiled floor With that Damned Blade in your Hand.

“I’ll bet a 62% chance Of... scratch that.” Tony Said Before Moving onto Hulk, “Hulk. Nah, He’s sitting at a 96% smash probability.” Tony Sighed and Moved into Hawkeye Who Shot an Arrow Straight into a Poster Of Tony’s Futura Magazines.

“Satellites Confirm a match of body telemetry.” Jarvis Announced, “It is him Sir.”

So Tony Started to Suit Up, “Upload those Coordinates into my navigation and Keep my Eggs Warm.” Tony Told Jarvis, “Skull Busting makes me Hungry.”

“New Toys, Same Old Hydra.” Cap Said As Something Exploded Behind Him, “Sorry you Came all the way back from the Dead to Chalk Up another Loss, Skull.” Cap Mocked.

“Perhaps. Perhaps not.” Skull Pointed a Gun at Captain America as Tony Was Flying to His Rescue, “Just a Few More Seconds, Cap. I got Your Back.” Tony Said, But Skull had Pulled the Trigger as Cap Disappeared Seemingly Vaporized.

“Cap!” Tony Yelled, Really Thinking Captain America was Gone for Good, Skull Coughed as Tony Yelled again, “No!”

Another Cough Racked Skull’s Body as He Laughed, “So the Iron Man has a Heart after all?” he Mocked While Holding Cap’s Shield like it was A Trophy.

“Drop the Shield, You Animal!” Tony Yelled, Very Upset, “I think Not.” Skull Said While More of his Weird Hydra Robots Came Closer Posing a Threat. “Consided it a Symbol of a New Dawn, and Your Demise.” Skull Said With a Cackle.

“Jarvis, Give me a Pre–Play Simulation now!” Tony Called Out to the AI, “Scans Show their Tech is Hard–Wired to their Central Nervous Systems” Tony Said to himself, Before Yelling at Jarvis Again, “Jarvis, Where’s My Pre–Play Simulation?” Still Trying to Dodge attacks and Focus on hitting Skull.

“Already Ahead of you as Always Sir.” Jarvis Responded, Soon the Robots Mostly Collapsed, Making Tony Wince inside of his Suit, “Those Guys Are Gonna Wake Up with a Headache.” Tony Muttered but Stopped When Something, Or Someone Breached his Armor.

“Armor Breached. System Failure.” Jarvis Reported, He Started To Grunt Out of Pain Due to Modok Using his Technopath Abilities to Stop Tony From Fighting Red Skull.

“You are just a fool in a Machine, Stark!” Skull Mocked, “Without Your Technology, You have Nothing!” he Ridiculed The Struggling Tony.

“No Instinct for Battle. No fire to lead!” Skull Continued on, “You hide behind Armor so you don’t Have to make sacrifices for victory!” He Finished, Beeping Sounded as Tony’s Power Levels Began to Lower.

“Power is at 20% Sir.” Jarvis Said, “And You have a New Problem Teleporting in.”

“Let Me Show you!” Skull Said Revealing Modok to Be a Big Part Of his Plans, “Won’t this be Fun.” Modok Announced leaving Tony Confused.

“Modok? Since When does he Team Up?” Tony Asked Himself beginning to Strain against The Technopath.

“Modok has graciously upgraded My Army.” Skull Said, “As You’re well Aware, His Technopathic Abilities Work wonders with Machines.”

“Even Your Machines, Herr Stark. Enjoy your Final painful moments on Earth.” Skull Said, Tony Continued To Strain, as Skull Coughed Once More.

“We got what we Came for, Skull.” Modok Said, Teleporting him and Red Skull away, as Tony Dropped to the Floor Talking To Jarvis, “Jarvis, Activate the ‘Avengers Protocol.’.” Tony Said.

Hawkeye had a Couple Of Criminals Hanging Up on a Railing, “Cops Are Coming, uh, so hand around.” Hawkeye Said Before Noticing a Weird Drone Like Robot Behind Him.

He Became into action mode aiming an Arrow at it, “I’m already Warmed Up and I got the B.O To Prove it.” Hawkeye Quipped as the Drone Started to Speak With Tony’s Voice.

“Don’t waste your Arrow. It’s Time. i’ve Activated the Avengers protocol.” he Said, Hawkeye almost Snorted at this.

“Yeah, Right. Hilarious, Stark.” Hawkeye Said in a Joking Tone, but Tony was all Serious, “Code Alpha, Omicron, Omega. We need you, Hawkeye.” Tony Said.

It then Switched to Hulk and Shadow Who was Helping Hulk deal With Some Pesky Criminals Who Were thieves.

“We had Our Reasons for Disbanding the Avengers. I bet some would Count my winning Personality as one of them. And the World Did fine Without us, Some things Changed. You know My Ego well Enough to realize I wouldn’t send Out this Call if I could Just Whip up a New Suit of armor and make the Bad Things Go away.” Tony Said.

“Puny Stark” Hulk Said in a Shout, Shadow Who Stood Beside him only Crossed her arms And Huffed Despite Keeping her Aura Calm to keep her Abilities in Control.

“Some Things Never Change.” She Muttered, Then it Shifted to a New Person, Sam Wilson.

“Whatever your Doing, I Guarantee it’s Nothing Compared to this.” Tony’s Voice Said, “Get to the Mansion A.S.A.P. Your Team is Waiting.”

“Agent Wilson, I was told you were at the top of your Class.” Fury yelled into Sam’s Comms, “So Why am I watching you Just hang Out here like Spider–Man after a Late Night?”

“Wilson, What’s Gotten into you?” Fury Asked Utterly Confused at his Agents Behaviors.

Sam Replied, “Sorry, Director Fury, just got a call from the Big Leagues.”

“Big Leagues? Ha! And What do you think is Bigger than Shield?” Fury prompted Sam.

“Jarvis, I’m here. And i’m completely Geeking out that Tony sent a Proper for me.” Sam Said Landing into The armory Where the Suits Were.

“Mr.Stark Suggested you should Wear the war machine Armor.” Jarvis Replied, But Sam Shook his Head, “War Machine? I Don’t think so.”

“Whatever! Just do what I said!” Shigaraki angrily Pointed to Mayumi, “Toga! You Distract the Other Students! Hikari, You Take Care Of Eraserhead, I got all might.” Shigaraki Spewed Orders Out.

Dabi Groaned But Followed Compress anyways, Toga Smiled Aiming her Knife at any of the Students Who Dared to Attack Her, and Hikari Aimed her hand at Aizawa.

Dabi Tackled Mayumi as She Struggled to Get his Hands Off of her, She Finally Used her Wings to Harshly Smack him in his eyes.

He immediately Dropped Mayumi, Who Used Her Wings to Fly Away From the Villian.

“Dabi! You Okay?” Compress asked, The Noise Of Toga Slicing A Students Arm Sounded in the Background, “I want some of your Yummy Blood!” Toga Chanted in the Background.

“I’m fine Compress, Go After her.” He Said, Slowly Getting Up rubbing his Sore Eye.

Compress Hurried After the Student.

Mayumi Used her Wings To Guide her Though the Halls, She Couldn’t see Through those Pure White Angel Eyes.

It was hard to Catch Up to the Student, Mayumi’s Wings Flapped at about 180 Miles Per Hour, Anything to Aid her Escape.

One Of the Students, Bakugou, Kicked Toga Away From them, “What the Hell do you Villian Scum Want?” Bakugou Yelled, Protecting Some Of his Injured Classmates.

“Oh~ Not you If that’s What you were thinking, Just Mayumi–Chan!” Toga Hummed Cutely, Pressing her Unoccupied Finger To her Blushing, Smiling, Cheek.

Bakugou’s Eyes Widened Turning to Kirishima Who was Beside Him, also Protecting The Injured Classmates.

“Their after Mayumi!” Bakugou Said Desperately, One of the Pro–Heros Who Responded to the Trouble Call from U.A, Hawks, Appeared Next to Kirishima.

“I’ll Find her.” He Said, Using his Wings To Speed to Mayumi.

“It’s Useless, Mayumi–Chan Is Ours!” Toga Beamed, Showing off her Razor Sharp Fangs among her Teeth.

Bakugou aimed an Explosion towards Toga’s Face, “Shut Up Villian Scum!” He Yelled as the Explosion Sent Toga Hurling Back A Few Feet.

“You Bastard!” She Shouted, as Hikari Still Fought Against Aizawa, His Scarf Aimed For her Abdomen to Stop her But Once again She Twisted the Fabric to her Avantage With the Aid of Her Quirk.

She escaped it’s Grip Narrowly Using her Boot To hit His Leg, Having Him Wrapped in his own Scarf, Shoving Him into a Kneeling Position.

“Just Give Up Eraser, Your Student Has already been Caught by Compress, Nothing you Can Do Now~” She Hummed, Showing Off her Teeth.

Aizawa Grunted, Trying to Move From his Kneeling Position, Hikari Only Shoved the Heel of her Boot Further into his Leg, Impaling it.

“Stand Still, You’ll injure Yourself.” She Chided as If he was Her own Child.

Toga Squealed as She Jumped Aiming For Bakugou’s Arm, But Another One of His Explosions Hit her Side Defecting her Attack.

Toga Hit a Few Boxes On the other end of Her Hallway.

“Toga!” Hikari Shouted Distracted, Aizawa Used this Chance to Kick her away Right Beside Toga, Unimpaling his Leg of her Boot heel.

He Leg Was Now actively Bleeding as he stood On Wobbly Legs.

Hikari And Toga were Now Knocked Unconscious, So Kurogiri Quickly Warped them Back to Base as Shigaraki Dealt With All Might.

The Two Fought Back and Forth, All Might Never Let his Hands Touch him, When Kurogiri Yelled Back to Shigaraki.

“Tomura! Toga and Hikari are Both Injured Heavily, We Need to Retreat!” Kurogiri had Said Loudly, Shigaraki Stepped back From The Symbol of Peace and Pressed his Ear Piece.

“Dabi, I’m ordering A Retreat, Regroup With Compress And Kurogiri Will Meet you there.” Shigaraki Said Before Stepping into Kurogiri’s Warp Gate.

Soon Dabi and Compress Regrouped Without Mayumi in their Grasp Escaping into Kurogiri’s Warp Gate.

“We’ll be Back!” Were Shigaraki’s Last Words Before Disappearing.

Finally all of U.A Could Let Out a Sigh.

Back at the Hideout, Shigaraki Grumbled as Kurogiri Treated Both Toga and Hikari.

Hikari’s Wound Included a Small Flesh wound on her Side Form Eraser Throwing her all over the Place, She Obviously Needed Stitches Since the Wound Was Quite Deep.

Hikari’s Wrist was also Fractured and Twisted the Wrong way along with Having a Radius Fracture on her Left Leg.

Toga Had became Conscious with a Small Headache and a Concussion, Order to rest For at Least Two Days.

But Hikari was Still Knocked Out as Kurogiri did her Stitches on her Side.

“Well that was a Shit Mission, No it wasn’t!” Twice Proclaimed, Lifting a Finger Up.

“Shut up Twice.” Shigaraki Said Groaning at how Bad the Mission Went, “Aww, Said Cause you Didn’t get what You want?” Dabi Mocked Shigaraki.

Shigaraki Threw One of his Hands at Dabi Groaning again, “Shut up!” He Yelled, Huffing and Crossing his arms across his Chest.

“Hush Tomura.” Kurogiri Chided Shigaraki as He Focused On Hikari’s State, “She needs as Much Rest and Quite As Possible.” Kurogiri Said as He Covered her Body up with a Thin Blanket.

“Is She Okay?” Dabi asked, Worried for his Girlfriend.

“She has a Severe Concussion, along with a Fractured Wrist and Radius, along with a Flesh Wound I just Sewed Up.” Kurogiri Explained.

“She’ll Probably Have a Migraine when She wakes, we need to all Watch Out for Brain Swelling though.” Kurogiri Finished.

“If Brain Swelling is a Problem?” Shigaraki asked, “We will have to Resort to a Hospital Tomura.” Kurogiri Sighed as He Made sure her IV was Set up Correctly.

Shigaraki Huffed, “Your Girlfriend better not Die and Cost me this Dream.” Shigaraki Growled, Stalking off to his room.

“Asshole.” Dabi Muttered, Going over to Hikari to Watch over his Girlfriend.

Hawks Came Back Carrying a Partially Injured Mayumi, A Stab Wound on her Left wing, Bakugou Hurried over to her Worried.

“What the Hell Happened!” Bakugou Yelled, Only Hawks Could Answer his Question.

“Dabi Got her with one of Toga’s Knives.” He Responded, Wrapping his Wings Underneath Mayumi To Stabilize her.

Bakugou Ran one of his Fingers Over her Bruised Face, as Hawks’s Tone Returned to one of an Urgent one.

“We need to get her to Recovery Girl.” Hawks Said, as Aizawa Limped Over towards them, “Along with Aizawa as Well, His Leg is Looking Pretty Bad.” Hawks Said.

“That Woman Shoved her Heel into my Leg.” Aizawa Grumbled as All Might Helped Aizawa Limp to Follow Hawks.

“Well That Woman Is a Villian Aizawa What’d You think She would do?” Hawks Responded.

Aizawa Could Only Grumble a Response Since he was Still Pretty Pissed about the whole Situation.
