Alfred blinks, thinking about what Dex said to him. "I can make my future better then my past and not let my past get the better of me..." He quietly says to himself.

The man sighs, tilting his head a bit and mutters "strange family..." he shakes his head and shrugs. "Lead the way hero. I got no idea what I'm doing."

“Haha sweet dude!” Alfred calls in for a car, which comes and picks them up, taking them to the airport. Once they get on the plane they wait and soon arrive in Canada.

Somebody somewhere said Quintessa talks to Optimus like he’s a bratty child.

NO.

That’s not how you treat a child, not even if they are being bratty and rude.

The way she treats Optimus is straight up physical and emotional abuse.

I’ll break it down. I posted about this before, but fuck it I’m doing it again.

Optimus lands in a less than optimal condition. He’s been in stasis for who-knows-how-long. He’s got dents from space rocks that probably hit him while he was out. He’s half-frozen, as in you see ice fall off him when he looks up. He’s probably in pain because space is really fricken cold.

And he’s pissed off.

Optimus walks in to Quintessa all “I’ll kill you!” because he believes Quintessa is the person behind the Seeds and as a result is a direct threat to Earth. He’s trying to protect a place and people he values.

Quintessa, despite her tiny size, has powers that make her able to render Optimus helpless against her without effort. She hurls an energy blast at his arm to knock his sword from his hand, calls forth the chains that restrain him and shoots him in the upper body / head with a stronger energy blast that knocks him into his knees. This is an establishment of dominance, which she completes by saying, “You dare to strike your god?” Her voice is very cold, angry sounding.

Now the emotional and physical abuse begins as Infernocus walks behind Optimus.

Quintessa spits at Optimus, “Your war doomed Cybertron.”

This is when Infernocus starts to beat Optimus and grab his head to further immobilize him and force him to look at Quintessa. It’s right as Optimus says, “Megatron started the war!”

Quintessa takes hold of Optimus’ chin and gaslights him with this accusation: “You destroyed your world, you fool!” 

Keep in mind, Optimus launched the Allspark (Cube) into space. Cybertron was already dying, and this would seal its fate. An act of desperation to stop the war. Cybertron was probably screwed no matter what choice Optimus made. He wrestled with the decision before and after he made it. This is what Quintessa hooks into when she gaslights Optimus by making it sound like the loss of Cybertron is entirely his fault. His fault, nobody else’s. We all know the real blame lays on everyone involved on the war, yet Quintessa puts all that blame on Optimus alone. 

Think about that for a moment. That’s what Optimus is doing in this scene. I bet he sees the face of every soldier he ever lost or killed in battle as well as the Cube zooming into space. It’s all flashing through him. He’s silent, stunned by her words. And the slap happens while he’s still reeling from what she said to him. It’s not a little love tap. Optimus grunts in pain, sparks fly and the blow jerks his head to the side. He doesn’t turn his head, her slap does.

It’s interesting how the red mark doesn’t just appear. It starts small and propagates until it “solidifies”. It’s like you see the physical pain of her slap and accusations / gaslighting manifesting as glowing gold light spreading on the left side of his face.  Optimus realizes she’s done something to him; his face is twitchy with a look of pain and fear. 

And after that, Quintessa’s tone of voice changes to something more gentle and condescending. There may be dialogue missing because all I have are somebody’s low quality thirty-second long clips to verify, but she basically says “My perfect creation… you’re going to fix it, or the race of Transformers dies forever.”

Then she runs her hand down his cheek and smiles. “I made you. You are mine to command.” (Human parent abusers might say, “I’m your mom / dad / relative, so you have to do what I say.”)

The whole time, Optimus just looks confused, hurt and scared. It’s a huge contrast to how utterly pissed off he was mere seconds ago. 

Quintessa has taken every doubt he’s ever had and twisted it to destabilize him. She knows she’s got him when he avoids eye contact and remains silent instead of throwing verbal barbs back at her. No more “What have you done to my world? I’ll kill you!” He’s just…silent.

Something interesting of note is how Optimus keeps avoiding eye contact even as Quintessa lifts his chin to turn his face towards her after the cheek caress. This would be perfectly normal behavior for an autistic person like me, but I don’t headcanon Bayverse Optimus as autistic. Eye contact for an autistic person hyper-activates a part of the brain related to faces in a way that doesn’t bother non-autistic people. Depending on the culture, NT’s who place a lot of importance on eye contact avoid it when they feel defeated or are afraid of somebody. 

Quintessa maintains eye contact the whole time, even leaning into Optimus’ personal space as if to tell him he’s not allowed to have that anymore. She knows she’s got him when he’s avoiding her gaze. It takers her less than five minutes to utterly destroy him mentally.

A “skilled” abuser can tear somebody down real fast, and she does exactly that. She’s totally screwing with his mind.

She starts feeding Optimus lies about the Staff being stolen and basically sweet-talks / orders him to get it back. That’s where the “Do you seek redemption, Prime? Do you?” line comes from, to which Optimus replies, “My maker, I do.”

This leads to even more abuse and there are other things they discuss while Quintessa is making the chains zap Optimus. I’m sorta guessing this is part of what she considers his “redemption”. She basically groomed the hell out of him to accept her treatment of him as normal. He’s making noises of pain, but not fighting it because she conditioned him to see it as fixing the problem she convinced him he caused. I can’t say what she tells him without spoiling the movie for those who haven’t seen it yet, but Quintessa feeding Optimus this information while inflicting pain on him. To avoid spoilers, all I can say is she tells him Earth has the Staff and something on Earth can rebuild Cybertron. She convinces Optimus that this thing on Earth is something that must die for Cybertron to live. 

The chilling part is Optimus mumbles “yes” as she’s saying “Earth will die, and Cybertron will live.”

Optimus accepts what she says as true. She has totally squashed his will and twisted his identity, and you know the damage is complete when Optimus says “I will fight anyone who stands in my way.”

Abusers find out what gets under their target’s skin and they will hook themselves under it and rip whenever they please to cause maximum pain whether it’s physical or mental. Then they play ‘move the goal posts’ where they imply doing this one thing will appease them, but when their victim does that thing it’s suddenly not good enough anymore. 

She preys on Optimus after he’s been betrayed by nearly everyone he has ever trusted or looked up to. The way she talks to him almost sounds like she’s saying do my bidding and I will never betray you while literally betraying him. I shudder to wonder what else Quintessa had planned had he been the one to hand her the staff.

But the scene with the chains and dialogue is such a powerful scene. It shows how abuse doesn’t take long to destroy someone, especially if that someone is already vulnerable for other reasons. And it’s not Optimus’ fault that this happened. Yes, he walked into her ‘space’, but she, or whoever made the Seeds, became a threat to him first. The Creators sent Lockdown, who killed Ratchet. Lockdown mentioned the Creators, which named the threat Optimus had to target next to protect Earth.

Ultimately, Quintessa takes two things Optimus values greatly and forces him to pick one, yet her tactics coerce him to pick what she wants. You know abuse has done serious damage when the person being abused obeys their abuser’s will instead of their own because they’ve been twisted into believing they want what their abuser wants. They can’t think for themselves anymore because every action they take is based on “will it please them enough to not hurt me?”

It’s very easy to destroy and control a person if you know exactly what they value most. Destroying people inside and out is what abusers do. And it’s exactly what Quintessa did to Optimus. 

I’m not saying nobody can make memes out of the slap or whatever. Have fun with that. Just remember how serious and damaging that scene is in the context of the movie.

Making Amends

Donnie x Female Cheating Reader

Notes: Felt bad I did my boy Donnie dirty, so I decided to make a second part to my Donnie x Cheating Reader. He deserves to have a happy ending, I love my boy Donnie and felt really horrible for having him done wrong. So enjoy the second part to You Wrong 😂

"I don't know, why don't you ask your little girlfriend!" Y/N watches as Donnie pushes Leo aside as he storms off to Mikey's room.

Leo just stands there completely baffled.

"What just happened?" Y/N questions as she walks over to Leo.

"I have no idea." Leo says as he rubs the back of his neck, just as confused as her.

That conversation happened over a month ago, since then neither Y/N nor Leo have been able to talk to Donnie.

No matter what they both tried, Donnie was agressive and short when talking with them both.

Only Mikey was the one who was aware of the situation at hand, of course he only heard from Donnie's side of the story. Which left him a bit confused, he knew something wasn't adding up. Then there was poor Raph who was left clueless during this whole mishap, only seeing and feeling the aftermath when the two lovers would argue and fight. Leaving Donnie to storm off back to his lab, as Y/N would go running to Leo's room crying.

Mikey had to get to the bottom of this, he hated seeing his brother so angered like this, but he also hated seeing his best friend crying.

He knew Doctor Feelings would be showing but first, Mikey is gonna consult with Raph, see if Raph had gotten anything from either of the lovers.

-With Mikey-

"Hey Raph, you busy?" Mikey asks as he peeks his head around the corner, seeing Raph laying on his bed.

"Not really, didja need something little buddy?" Raph says as he sits up, motioning for Mikey to come over.

"It's about Donnie and Y/N, something happened with them and I only heard Donnie's side of the story...but something doesn't add up." Mikey says as he gets Raph's full attention at this.

"I thought something was up, Y/N's been crying alot recently and going to Leo's room after arguing with Donnie." Raph says with sadness, he wanted to help fix this.

"Well Donnie claims hes been seeing Y/N hanging out with Leo more, looking at him, he's even walked in on them um..." Mikey's cheeks flush red at having to mention this, to Raph of all people. "Walked in on them having sex...but when I was told all this...something accured to me."

Raph nods, his face red from the mention of hearing his brothers "activity".

"Y/N and Leo had just got back from there training that day, they were never here...did Donnie forget that dad sent them away to train?" Mikey says as Raph's eyes widen.

"That's right! Y/N mentioned that pops has been training her and Leo. Sent them both to the woods to do more training on a different level." Raph shouts as Mikey nods his head rapidly.

"So then..." Mikey starts.

"Who did Donnie actually see...if that wasn't actually Leo and Y/N?" Raph finishes.

"That's it, group meeting. We need to fix this mess." Raph says as Mikey nods.

Mikey pulls out his phone and sends a mass text to the group, for a group meeting.

"Im gonna stop by dads room and pick something up, I'll meet you at the skate ramp." Raph nods.

"Let's just hope were right..." Raph gulps as he nods.

Let's hope there both right...for there own sake.

-With Leo and Y/N-

"Group meeting...let's go Leo." Leo nods as they both head to the skate ramp.

Everyone is there, even Donnie, but he's sporting a scowl on his face, clearly annoyed, once Leo and Y/N approach the rest of the group.

"Make it quick, I've got inventions that need to be made stat." Donnie says, annoyed that he's been taken from his work.

Y/N puts her hood up to cover her face, as she shoves her hands into her pockets as she tries not to look at Donnie.

"First off, we made a discovery, but before that we need to clarify something from last month. Y/N, dad sent you and Leo away to the woods for some training last month right?" Mikey asks as they both nod.

"Dad's been sending us away to train for two weeks each month why?" Leo asks as Mikey puts on his thinking face.

"Well Donald claims he saw you two having sex and so on...but how could you when you both were never here but out training. Here Donnie take a look at this, dad has a training schedule for those two, and I have to say your story doesnt match up with what you told me." Mikey says as he hands Donnie the schedule, Leo and Y/N shocked to hear this bit of news.

"Is this why you've been avoiding us?! You think I'd go after Y/N like that? She's my best friend, I wouldn't go after her like that. Not when she's dating my bro." Leo says as he looks at Donnie offended.

"What...but...who did I see then?" Donnie asks, his eyes filled with fear and regret.

Y/N took a look at Donnie, knowing that look of his.

She knew he fucked up.

She should be mad at him, furious, for thinking that she would cheat on him with Leo of all people.

Leo annoys her with his one liners and absurd use of puns, that alone annoys her and is a no go for her.

"I have an idea...Leo, remember when we had to run to the hidden city for some potions Draxum asked for?" Leo nods as his eyes widen.

"There were two mutants following us, they wanted the potions we had and since we refused to give them up, we fought them off." Y/N nods as she waits for Leo to continue.

"Not only that but they were also wanted criminals too. Weren't they like shapeshifters or something?" Leo says as Y/N nods.

"Fearshifters actually, took some time to dig out that information. There known to change into a person's fear and ruin there life for them, no matter what it could be, they would do so in any way possible."

Silence fills the room at this.

"You think they followed us?" Leo asks as the sound of a pan dropping onto the kitchen floor can be heard.

"Mikey and I can check that out." Raph says quietly as he motions for Mikey to follow.

With that the two disappear into the kitchen.

Y/N takes this time to look at Donnie, who appears to be lost in thought.

"Donnie...?" Y/N says quietly as he turns to look at her, his eyes filled with nothing but regret. "Y/N I'm so sorry...I..." Donnie stops, afraid to say anything more as it may ruin his bad boy attitude...that and Leo is still there with them.

Reading the air, Leo decides at this moment to let them figure stuff out. "I'm gonna check on Raph and Mikey." Leo says as he heads to the kitchen.

Donnie turns to Y/N, feeling ashamed of himself for thinking that Y/N would cheat on him.

"Y/N...I'm really sorry...I shouldn't have pushed you away like that..." Donnie starts.

"I had no idea dad was even training you two at all, you didn't tell me or say anything either...so I had assumed when you had been hanging out with Leon more than me I grew...jealous...but it wasn't the real you or him was it?" Donnie asks as he feels his cheeks grow hot red from embarrassment.

Y/N shakes her head, a small smile gracing her face underneath the hood covering her face.

"No, that wasn't us. I wanted to surprise you one day, show you I could defend myself so you wouldn't have to worry about me. Show you I can handle even our toughest of enemies if they even tried anything, but I guess that kinda backfired huh. Plus Leo isn't really my type, his one liners and puns are so annoying, can't stand it honestly." Y/N says as she rolls her eyes at this, knowing Donnie wouldn't have seen that.

Donnie smiles.

"I love you and only you Donnie, no one else can make me as happy as you do." Y/N says as she takes her hood down, a smile adorning her face as she looks at Donnie.

"Guess I have to makeup for a lot don't I love?" Donnie says as he chuckles.

Y/N approaches Donnie and hugs him, smiling as he hugs back. She looks up at his face as she leans in to peck him on the lips.

"I love you Y/N." Donnie says as he kisses her on the top of her head.

"Love you too D."

"Well I'm glad to see you two made up, but check out who we found lurking around in the kitchen. Leo says as him and Raph throw the culprits onto the floor in front of Donnie and Y/N.

"You two!" Y/N seethes out, anger fueling her blood as she sees the two mutants who almost cost her the love of her life.

Donnie moves to stand in front of Y/N, an annoyed frown on his face at seeing them.

"I have some words I'd like to say." Donnie starts.

"First off! Thanks for almost ruining my relationship! Secondly!" He dramatically gestures to the two mutants, an insane smirk on his face as he continues, "Secondly, how dare you show my fear, it's more so embarrassing than anything really, not that I have anything to worry about now...and last but not least, I'm gonna hurt you both so badly for ruining and entering not only my life but my family's life." Donnie says angrily as Y/N smirks at the scared mutants.

"Let me take care of the one babe, gives me a chance to show off my training." Y/N says as Donnie hands her his tech bo.

Oh yeah this is gonna be fun.

"With pleasure darling, show them no mercy, none at all!" Donnie says with a wicked grin on his face.

Y/N lifts the tech no in the air, pushing the button on the staff, as it shifts into a mallet.

"Ooooh yeah...Fibonacchi!" Y/N says as she slams the tech bo into the female mutant, sending her flying into the wall with a loud crash as she falls to the floor groaning.

"You messed with the wrong people." Y/N says as she approaches the cowering male mutant. "Please! Spare us! Were sorry!" We won't ever bother you again!" He shouts, clearly in a panic as he scrambles to his feet.

The mutant backs up, only to back up into Donnie. "Light's out!" Donnie shouts as he punches him.

Hard.

The mutant falls to the floor, effectively knocked out.

"Nice swing babe." Donnie says as he makes his way towards Y/N, embracing her from behind. Y/N smirks as she holds her head up high, "It's all that training I've been recieving Donnie." Y/N says as she leans back into Donnie as his hold on her tightens.

"God I love you." Donnie says as he kisses the top of her head.

The brothers can only watch in amazement at the duo's small fight.

They also know from now on to not mess with either of them, or at least not make them angry.

Alfred looked at Mason, surprised by what he said. Alfred smiled lightly at Mason. "I always act tough because I'm a hero!" Alfred said proudly as he laughed. "But even so every hero has some type of weakness." Alfred smiled a gentle smile towards Mason.

Alfred wiped away the tears and looked at Mason. “Yeah I’m fine just remembering some past memories.”

Alfred freezes for second and then recollects himself, somewhat running to catch up to Dex. "Oh well I guess were kinda similar in a way except for me not being dead of course haha..." Shyly laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.

Minecraft: Story Mode launching next month

‘Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series’ Premiere Date Revealed by Telltale and Mojang Leading and award-winning developer and publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games, and world-renowned game developer Mojang, today revealed the world premiere details for Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series. Episode 1: 'The Order of the Stone,’ the first of five episodes in the season, will premiere digitally worldwide on Tuesday, October 13th this year. The episode will be available at launch on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, and on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The season premiere will be available for compatible iOS devices via the App Store and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore starting Thursday, October 15th.
