Someone help that poor dog
You had been waiting for this all night long.
Stake outs had never been your favorite thing about being a detective, with all of the anxious anticipation and fear about where you would be in a few hours. If you would even be anywhere in a few hours. But after being handed this case by the chief himself, working on it for so many months now, it was about to be over one way or another. You were just hoping that Shoto wouldn’t put up too much of a fight.
As the most powerful son of Japan’s number two hero, Shoto Todoroki had successfully avoided arrest for years now, even in spite of him being the city’s biggest crime boss. After so long of him freely breaking the law and terrorizing innocent people though, he was finally going to be stopped. With you still being a fairly inexperienced detective, you had wondered why the chief had handed you such a big case in the first place, especially when there were so many other veteran detectives at your station. Luckily—or perhaps unluckily—that answer had come pretty quickly after you had accepted the case.
Right after you officially began to head the case, you had noticed that there seemed to be an extra set of eyes on you, ones that rested on you heavily, as if they could keep you beneath them with their weight alone. There were times when you almost swore that you saw someone out of the corner of your eyes, a flash of red and white hair, or came home to feel that someone had been there while the place was empty. The chief probably gave you the case because everyone else was too afraid of retribution to take it. But even that did not explain why that gaze and that intrusion felt so familiar, as if it had been there for so long now and had only now risen to the point of being noticeable.
Either way, you told yourself stubbornly, it would be over soon.
“Everyone,” came the chief’s voice from over the radio, “we have confirmation that
the perp is in position inside of the warehouse. I am giving you all the go-ahead to approach.”
“Alright, chief. We’re going to head in.”
Glancing at your partner beside you, the two of you climbed out of the car, watching as your fellow officers did the same. Guns drawn, the six of you moved cautiously towards the warehouse, approaching the door with absolute silence. Nodding in confirmation to each other, you kicked open the door, all of you streaming inside with you leading them.
“Shoto Todoroki, you are under arrest!” you shouted, your gun pointed directly at him. For his part though, Shoto didn’t seem worried or even shocked, for that matter. He hadn’t so much as moved an inch, not to attack or even to run. No, all that he did was stare intently at you, that mismatched gaze of his eerily familiar in its overwhelming devotion. If Shoto even noticed the other cops that had come with you, he didn’t show it. Not when he only had eyes for you.
“Put your hands up and stay still. I am coming over to handcuff you.” Whatever Shoto was up to, you weren’t about to let it get to you. You had a job to do, and you weren’t about to let him psych you out.
“I’m happy to have you here, of course,” Shoto murmured, raising his hands up slowly. “But honestly, I’m not too thrilled about the extra company you brought. I wanted this to be special, something more private. Doesn’t that sound so much better?”
“What the hell are you talking about?” you asked, not daring to look over at your colleagues.
“It’s just that I’ve spent so long waiting for this moment, for the time when the rest of the world would finally stop getting between us. And here you brought the rest of the world with you.”
“What—”
“I guess it doesn’t really matter though. Not when I’m more than ready to take care of things for you,” he mused. Then, without another word, Shoto threw his right arm forward, forming spears of ice that rushed across the floor, wrapping itself all the way around your feet and knocking the gun right out of your hands. That was the least of your worries at the moment though, considering that Shoto had used those same spears to pierce the bodies of your fellow officers, tearing every single one of them in two.
Releasing a strangled cry of grief and rage, you desperately tried to wrench your feet free from the ice that they had been encased in, only for it to hold you there firmly. Shoto paid no mind to your attempt to free yourself though. Why should he, when he knew that there was no possibility of you getting away from him? As he started to make his way over to you with steps that were practically teasing in their slowness, Shoto watched you struggle with all of the amusement of a hunter who has caught their most tempting prey at long last. Yes, he thought to himself, he finally had you right where you were meant to be: at his mercy.
Finally there right before you, Shoto gave a smile that, while it was small, was filled with all of the warmth and love that only you could inspire in him. His left hand cautiously making its way upward, Shoto cupped your cheek softly, as if afraid that he would bruise you if he pressed any harder. As he warmed you with both his quirk and his fanatical gaze, you prayed that the chief would realize that something was wrong and come to your rescue.
“You can come out now,” Shoto suddenly called out, his voice much louder and much less adoring than it had been when he had been speaking to you. That was just a small detail though, one that only the very edge of your mind caught. What really interested you was just who Shoto was talking to.
You didn’t have to wait too long for an answer though, not when your chief stepped out from the shadows of the warehouse and into the light.
“Chief? What are you doing? I—I don’t understand.”
The chief didn’t answer you though, didn’t even so much as look at you. No, his eyes stayed firmly on Shoto, just how Shoto’s eyes stayed firmly on you.
“Where’s the money?”
“It’s in the duffle bag.” Following the vague gesture of Shoto’s free hand, you saw a heavily packed duffle bag up against the wall, which the chief quickly made a beeline for. As you watched him unzip the bag and dig through it eagerly, you felt as though you were going to be sick and turned back to the man who had trapped you so well.
“You paid him off?”
“I did.”
“How long have you been planning this for? Since finding out who was working your case?”
“Before that, actually,” Shoto answered with the light, conversational tone of someone discussing the weather. “After all, who do you think convinced your boss to give you that case in the first place? I’ve been watching you for so long now, ever since I realized that you belonged with me. And with the chief here telling everyone that you, a rookie detective in over your head, died in a fruitless attempt to bring such a big threat into custody, I’ll finally be able to take you home where you were meant to be.”
The sound of the chief zipping up the bag and standing up reaching your ears, the two of you glanced over at him. Giving a curt nod that Shoto returned with narrowed eyes, the chief ambled off towards the back entrance, promptly disappearing into the dark alleyway.
“Honestly, I was considering just killing the chief too, especially when he was so willing to sell you out. Of course, I know how well I’m going to take care of you, but he didn’t know that, especially not with my reputation. Besides, I’ll need a chief of police that I can work with if I want to protect you and take care of you the way that you deserve. And really, that’s the only thing that matters, taking care of the one you love. Holding them close so that they can never leave you.”
Having absolutely no answer to that, all that you could do was stare in horror back up into Shoto’s eyes, the ones that had been staking you out this whole time.

My mom was interested in getting a purebred dog that didn’t shed. We went to the pound (we actually wanted a cat) but my mom said that she wanted to look at the dogs “just in case.” The first cage we came the dog sat for us and wasn’t barking. My mom pointed the dog and asked if we could take him out. The dog was so shy and timid. Apparently he had been abandoned and was found wandering around the streets. We were the only family to take him out in the six weeks we had been there. We couldn’t leave him there so we adopted him and named him Max!

It feels so peaceful here, that’s why I want to stay
The warm breeze that blows on my face
Anything cold would feel so out of place
I wish I could stay here and just dream
Of days where no one would scream
Don’t forget to iron your shoelaces and keep them clean....
A/N: Not the one I had intended to have out today, think of it as a little “prelude” to the one I really want to write. Just a little tease of Dad! Keigo for you all on this Father’s Day! I hope you enjoy the fluff! <3 <3
“Hey love, what’s this?” Keigo asked as he padded out of the bathroom, the little plastic stick clutched between his hands as his golden eyes stared it, brows furrowed.
“What’s wha—” You inquired as you turned to face him, a sigh eating up the rest of your words as your eyes fell to the item in question. You crossed your arms loosely over your chest as you toed the bedroom carpet. “Sometimes…women just get it in their head’s that they need to take one because they get a little paranoid and so I did.”
“I see.”

First page of a Gravity Falls AU Comic featuring Hitoshi and Eri! Still coming up with a name for the AU…
Far darker than the original, but hopefully they’ll get their found family in the end (and yes a found family can be two kids, a tired man and a cosmic chaotic being) ;)
They’re gonna get a bit of a surprise… Reblogs are appreciated!

(1: You Are Here!) (2) (3) (4)
Summary: As a child, Tamaki Amajiki could have grown up to be a piano playing prodigy - until one unpleasant incident in the past killed all his passion for the instrument and permanently drove a wedge between him and his demanding mother.
Tamaki swore he’d never play the piano again, that he’d never want to.
…But that was before he met you.
Warnings: Anxiety, Tamaki’s emotionally manipulative, ableist and abusive mom (I’m so sorry, Tamaki!)
Other than that, this story is mostly pure fluff!
