Hello everyone! I've been made aware that the personality calc isn't currently working in the demo. I'll fix it when I can in the next day or so, but until then, I'll repost this disclaimer from the forum!
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.

Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
My attempt to draw Alessa from The Golden Rose, by @anathemafiction
This includes:
A nightmare scene with some variations involved
For MCs with Wits as their main skill, an exclusive optional nightmare route (Hint: Follow the voice)
More conversations with Alex, and with Vincent.
Assassins
Some overview on the police department and the Ripper’s relationship with their colleagues. (which is, not very good)
A flashback scene
Nickname option added on Chapter 1, as well the choice to use the Ripper’s mother’s maiden name (Note: The mother canonically has a Filipino heritage).
Mental health stats such as stress and cynicism amongst others are implemented, though they remain hidden from the stats page for now.
Additional 58,475 words excluding codes!
Old saves will not properly work, so apologies for that! I also advise you to keep a save for the start of Chapter 2, since I’ll be putting the next part on the same file, and dashingdon always reverts its saves to the beginning of the chapters whenever an update is made.
Do consider donating to my ko-fi if you liked the game and stay tuned to future announcements with regards to a probable Patreon launch soon. Anyway, feedback and reblogs will be deeply appreciated! Let me know about your thoughts and/or theories through asks, on the forum, or on discord.
Premise and additional notes below the cut.

It’s been a while, so I thought I’d update and expand on my previous list of favorite interactive fiction works in progress!
Did anybody ask for this? No. Am I making it anyway to satisfy my obsession for list making? Maybe. Anyways, recommendations under the cut! Damn this got long…

Imo the most important thing a writer (or any artist) can be is earnest. You can have no technical skill whatsoever and write a complete stinker and you'll still have a story some readers will fall in love with, so long as they can tell you really meant it and really gave it a shot. Everything else is artifice.
