Whumptober Day 19: Broken Hearts | Reader

Plot:  Part 3!!  Torture!!

Nari was not having a good time right now.  Her guardians, her protectors were dealing with some massive evil presence, and there wasn’t much she could do other than look for help with Archie.

Archie was also not having fun.  He was supposed to protect Douxie, to look out for him and make sure he was safe.  But now?  Now Douxie was anything but safe.  It was a new kind of horror, the cat-dragon decided, to watch his oldest friend get tortured in his sleep; to watch his skin tear on its own and the blood stain the sheets.  And then he had to leave him.  He had to leave his wizard, his boy, who he had watched over for almost a thousand years, to an uncertain fate.  He trusted you, of course, but this thing, this darkness that haunted you was a force to be reckoned with.  He didn’t want either of you to be hurt more than you already had been.

The two of them ran for a while until they found a payphone, which is literally the luckiest anyone ever gets in this story because those things are almost extinct, and called for help.  After that, all they could do was wait.

Douxtober Day 6:  A Lot Happens in a Short Amount of Time

Plot:  You remember the child surprise from the Witcher?  yeah, this was it’s distant cousin, the surprise child.  (No one is pregnant, I promise)

Life was a funny thing.  Sometimes you got tortured, sometimes you moved in with your boyfriend, his familiar, sometimes your boyfriend died and came back to life trying to save the world, and sometimes, you accidentally adopted a child.

It just be like that occasionally.

And you could explain this!  You totally could, 100%.  This wasn’t just the two of you plus Archie and technically Zoe shoplifting a kid, there was a lot more to it than that.

Being Douxies love intrest

~ He's a shy teen but a kind one. This relationship will always be full of romance, cheesiness, and a soft boi who'd truly give up the world to make you happy.

~ When Doxuie thinks the relationships getting serious he tells you he's a mage. When you don't believe him at first he shows you magic and explains how it all works and where he learned it. If your still skeptical that goes away when Archie speaks to you for the first time. The cat explains how he's Douxies shapeshifting familar and Doxuie is indeed a magic user.

~ You two move into his flat together after that and Archie absolutely adores you and thinks your good for Douxie. You move into Douxies extra room and Doxuie surprises you by throwing you a welcome to your new apartment party for the two of you.

~ Douxie loves spoiling you. He always wants you to be happy but on the days where your sad he's there for you. Bad day? He'll bring food or cakes from his work and if he can't he'll bake something sweet for you when he gets home. He'll cuddle you with blankets on the couch and watch sappy/silly movies until you feel better. If after all that you still feel sad he has a few tricks to make his favorite person smile again.

~ On every date you go too there's always some kind of magic trick. He loves showing off to you and the way your face lights up when he does something with magic makes his entire soul ascend. He always summons flowers or chocolates on your dates but he throws in some suprrise gifts here and there to keep it interesting. He's a romantic so he's always coming up with new ways to woo you. When you give him gifts unexpectedly as a thankyou he gets the goofiest grin and holds you close happy.

~ He's so gentle when he kisses you. Every kiss to him is a gift so that's what he treats you like. A gift. His favorite type of kiss is when he craddles your cheeks and leans in kissing you slowly. But he loves every type of kiss. Rapid all over the face kisses? Nose kisses. Short pecks. Cheek kisses. Neck kisses. Forehead kisses. Hold you close and take your breath away kisses. He loves them all and gets so flustered when you surprise HIM with a kiss.

~ He loves music and enjoys talking to you about musician's and inspirations to him. Douxies old so he's talked to all the greats and has a box full of signed classic punk tees. Whenever you've had a rough day the way he likes to cheer you up by is taking out his guitar and playing a song for you.

~ If your his partner you've had to met Zoe. She likes to tease you both about how lovey dovey you are but like Archie she supports it. You three often hang out discussing magic music and whatever else comes up. She keeps you on your toes and gives Doxuie ideas for how to wow you.

~ Archie is very supportive of the relationship and is happy you make Douxie happy. And as most couples with pets go Douxies cat is now your cat. Archie will flop down on your lap when your home alone and demand pets and scratches. The familar adores you and when Douxies not around to protect you Archie is. He'll never let anything happen to you on his watch.

~ Douxie is a terrible dancer. That being said he loves dancing with you. He likes cooking and baking so when you come into the kitchen to grab a snack, music playing softly from his phone or the t.v, he'll take your hand and spin ya around playfully. He also likes hugging you from behind and swaying as he hums softly. This boy lives for the moment and he loves surprising you in the best ways.

~ If you don't play guitar Doxuie will gladly teach you how. He finds it very intimate to put his hands over yours and show you how to pluck and pull the strings. You don't have to become good at it he just likes the excuse to sneak neck kisses as he shows you how.

~ Your date nights mostly consist of staying inside watching shows but every now and then Douxie will plan a fun night out. Dinner. A movie. A walk in the park. Ice cream Palor. He always plans something memorable and fun just for you.

Seventeen Years Old

Soft floppy brown hair. Sleeveless tees. Large sunny smile. Passionate words. Scribbled lyrics in the margins of his beat-up notebook.

Seventeen years old, grabbing his guitar and biking away from home.

Crooked teeth. Flannel button-ups tied around his waist. Punny jokes. Hands that have covered his ears, as well as strummed his guitar.

Seventeen years old and pointedly ignoring the screaming downstairs.

Anxious pacing. Sarcastic quips. Thick blond hair. Wide open-mouthed smile. Tapping out beats on the table.

Seventeen years old and wishing he hadn’t told his parents his secret.

Warm hugs. Crying that turns to laughter. Yelling out lyrics and jumping to the beat. Comfort when they need it most.

Seventeen years old and becoming a family when their own could not suffice.

Excitement, passion, and sound filling the room. Knowing their life is about to change forever. One last shitty meal before stardom.

WHY YOU NEED TO WATCH JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS

the LGBTQ rep is IMMACULATE. the plot between willie and alex is so cute, and their chemistry is literally so good

the songs are FIRE. I haven’t heard original songs this good since hsm/camp rock era

julie (played by madison reyes) can sing so well it honeslty blows my mind. her acting is also so so good. 

the three boys have geniune friendship without any toxic masculinity and it is honestly so refreshing. they’re not afraid to show their feelings and I LOVE THAT

it’s honestly just casted so well. some teen/ya tv shows are cringey but this one is not i promise you

it stays mostly light while touching on heavier subject lines 

its genuinely really funny

the jar jar binks joke had be actually laughing out loud 

an amazing villian. he gives me dr facillier vibes.

a/n: don’t worry there’s no more haunted stuff after this. or missouri. Y/n doesn’t smoke she just feels the need to have a way to set fire to things on her person at all times. a pyromaniac, if you will. also they have been roommates this entire time i just forgot to mention it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Archie was not happy. He couldn’t believe that Douxie would just ditch him like this. It wasn’t like him. Watch the boat, Archie. We’ll be right back, Archie. That was seven hours ago. A rainstorm had come and gone even. He thought for sure that at least Y/n or Nari would have reminded the other two about his situation. But, no, here he was, soaked to the bone and still alone. In Missouri. In misery. As mad as he was though, he was equal parts worried. It wasn’t like Douxie to just forget about him. Something was wrong.

When he finally caught sight of the rest of the party returning to the ship, Arch breathed a sigh of relief. And then got ready to breath fire. Which he quickly put out, after seeing the looks on the kids’ faces once they got close enough. So something was wrong. They looked as if they’d seen a ghost.

“Are you three alright? What happened?”

“Nothing we didn’t survive. Look, we got the tent.” Douxie held up the box to show Archie. He just flicked his tail in response. “It’s already dark, so we’ll tell you all about it while we set up camp. Alright, Arch?”
