I'll just leave it here...
Yeah, I know it's not unproblematic, but while we live in a world where there are rich people, I think we need to bring back the concept of "noblesse oblige" and Duty and stuff. No buying thousand dollar Shein hauls and all that junk! NO. With great power comes great responsibility. You, rich person, are supporting all the Artisans and small businesses and putting your money back into your community! Somebody needs to, and I WISH it could be ME! But you're the one with the money, so it's YOU. It's your responsibility to do this, you HAVE to. AND it's also your responsibility to wear fancy and pretty clothes again, so that the rest of us can have something pretty to look at when you go by. This is your JOB and your DUTY, so hop to it! Noblesse oblige!
my darling amy. it is you i want, not your family. i have gone to london to make myself worthy of you. please, do not do anything we shall regret.
you ever see shit that makes you think “i know i’m very online but i’m not online enough for this one”
i like that while queen amidala's signature color is red, PADME'S is definitely blue. with her slave disguise, the first time we really get to see "padme naberrie", and from thereon how often it's used during her most vulnerable moments with her family and her husband
there's just something special to me about how it was what she was wearing when she first met anakin, showed him her home, became the color we most often see her wear in her apartment after marrying him, and the color she was buried in after her last words swore his innocence
Peter can’t remember the last time they walked home together from anything. He’s sure he was wearing light up sneakers, carrying a backpack full of addition and subtraction homework, and Mary Jane had multicolored bows in her hair, sporting kittens on her neon t-shirt. It’s kind of surreal, to walk with her now. A woman in a diner uniform, a hero with a mask in his backpack. They’re worlds away from where they used to be. (x)
Good night, good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow.
OLIVIA HUSSEY in ROMEO AND JULIET (1968), dir. Franco Zeffirelli
Though condemned I am to split you Still I worry that it’s wrong, Though I must fulfill my duty And must quarter every year Still I wonder whether sorting May not bring the end I fear.
reblog if you’ve read fanfictions that are more professional, better written than some actual novels. I’m trying to see something
