“Hades”
A sigil to represent the god Hades. Place offerings to him with this sigil drawn on something biodegradable. Or draw this sigil on one side of a paper, and a prayer to him on the other side, then burn it.
So for colors, I like to mix both pastels/vibrant pieces, as well as dark, bleaker bits.
Persephone’s the goddess of Springtime, so flowers are nice, but she’s also the Queen of the Underworld. She’s a ruler, a goddess of darkness. Hades is the king of this realm of the dead, so both have those aspects of the afterlife.
Adorn their altar with bouquets as well as skulls. Recognize both of them and all of their traits :)
Here are some good things to decorate your altar with:
Flowers
Waterfalls/small fountains
Wreath of flowers (like a circlet)
Rams/Bulls
Birds (especially parrots, ravens, etc)
Bats
Seeds
Images of springtime or meadows
Anything to do with her being Queen of the Underworld,
such as a throne, etc.
Pictures of Cerberus
Coins/gems/valuables are all related to Hades
Pomegranates are good for Persephone
Bones/etc are neat decor pieces
Black cloth could go underneath everything to serve as an altar cloth
Shadowy artwork is something that I connect with Hades/Persephone
Black cups or bowls can be good for leaving offerings in
Candles
Things that you associate with the Underworld
Black Sheep
Screech Owls
These were (possibly) the flowers Persephone was gathering when abducted by Hades (good for shrine decor and offerings):
roses
irises
pansies
violets
hyacinth
crocuses
lilies
narcissus
Things to avoid:
Mint
Poplar
Offering Ideas:
Poetry or dark prose (H & P)
Gems/Coins/Crystals/Valuable Things (H)
Tea (Ideas below)
Earl Grey (H)
Hibiscus/Red Fruit Teas (H &P)
Harney & Sons Paris Tea (H & P) (Can’t remember who told me this was a good tea to use as an offering, but it’s a great for Hades when Persephone is away)
Pomegranate Tea (P)
Flowers (P)
Bones (H &P)
Candles (H &P)
Incense (H &P)

Honey (P, sometimes H)
Artwork (H & P)
Figurines representing their sacred animals (H & P)
Living plants grown in their honor (H &P)
Informational books and articles written about death and funeral rituals from other culture (H, sometimes P)

volunteer at animal shelters or walk your dog
Read up on rituals other cultures do when someone dies
Spend time cleaning up cemeteries and honoring the dead
Be fair and avoid doing things you know aren’t right
Spend time alone and reflect on yourself and what you think is important
Collect things from the Earth, like crystals or gems
Read up on Hades and his stories/myths/etc
Find out about who came before you in your family if possible, and figure out where they’re buried (if they are buried). Leave something like a flower or another offering there if you can
Garden and grow flowers that will thrive in your climate. dedicate them to Persephone
Press flowers and use them as decorations/bookmarks/etc
Read and learn about the different uses for herbs and flowers
Read and learn about poisonous herbs and flowers
Be cheesy and eat Pomegranates
Write poetry or prose about Persephone’s grace, and also her power
Honor her as the Queen of the Underworld and also the goddess of spring
Grow Persephone’s sacred trees/plants or take care of the ones you see
Treat yourself to frolics on the meadow, but also to powerful activities in which you exercise your intelligence and persuasion
How to introduce yourself to them is linked here :)

Brighid keeps the cows,
And cows are heavy work—
She’s all shoulders, hips, and thighs,
Strong for the lifting.
Her heart remembers the son she keened for,
And so does her belly.
-
Stretch marks strike across Hera’s skin,
Lightning tattoos,
Fitting symbols of eternal loyalty.
Forever marked a wife, a mother,
Not a marble statue.
-
On the shores of her birthplace,
Aphrodite comes up dripping,
Breasts heavy, hips rolling like waves.
In Mauritania she overflows:
Fat (no hiding from that word,
No shame)
Cascades from her arms,
Rolls over her middle,
Puckers her thighs.
On every beach she has cellulite—
She is goddess of beauty,
Not goddess of the impossible.
Everywhere, she is adored.
-
Inanna, Queen of Heaven,
Feels no need to diminish herself
When the entire sky is hers to occupy.
