the deleted scene of Glinda meeting Governor Thropp gives such a funny context to the line “She had a father-who by the way was Governor of Munchkinland”

because iirc it’s not a secret that Nessa is his daughter

so then the subtext of that line is “remember that other witch whose death you were singing about three hours ago? well they have the same dad and his bitch ass seems to be a common denominator in wickedness”

like it’s on sight even after he’s dead and she despises that man even though they met once

no one mourns the wicked indeed
