Giovanni López was brutaly murdered by 10 cops in Jalisco, México. Authorities tried to justify this act saying he was violating the law just for not wearing a face mask. Police took him away and the next day after his family and neighbours tried so hard to get him out and went to pick him up, authorities told them he wasnt there, he was in A HOSPITAL because “se les había pasado la mano” (this is a way to say like “ups! we think we went too far! ups! we messed up!”). When they arrived to the hospital the family found him dead because he was tortured to death. This happened A MONTH AGO, the family was too afraid to talk about this because authorities threatened them to not talk about it, they also offered money to buy their silence. Giovanni’s brother broke the silence and ask for justice for his brother. 

He was only 30 and was a construction worker.

This is México’s reality, we are murdered, threatened, taken away and raped by police officers and authorities always find ways to wash their hands and get away with all of this.
