Annabeth: I trust your dad.
Me @ Athena:
When I tell you this has altered my brain chemistry and I'm not even halfway through. If you are going to read any jonmartin fic let it be this one
obviously got no idea how much 'jon' will be in protocol, but i can't stop thinking about someone who's had to listen to all the tapes with his voice on saying "oh so You're jonathan sims??" and lobbying him with like a million questions.
then there's a pause,
and he just says "jonathan blackwood, actually" in that smug bitch voice of his. you know the one
*After Jace's Death*
Rhaenyra worried Cregan won't support her now
Rhaenyra, Sending a Raven to the North: Now that Jacaerys is dead, will you still stand by your oath?
Cregan, marching down South with his men: It's cute you think my oaths have faltered or that death can keep your son away from me
Say what you will about ROP but the way that Elrond and Durin are basically in-universe Tolkien and Lewis in that they complain about each other and to each other but at the end of the day are still on the same Super Bro Wavelength about What's Really Important (because Sauron and the rings are sus and they both know it) is quality content and I will not apologize for saying so. It's my favorite thing about the series honestly
boop unto others as you would have them boop unto you
"not all men-" you're right, jacaerys targaryen, heir to the iron throne, prince of dragonstone, the eldest son of queen rhaenyra targaryen and laenor velaryon, a dragonrider, would never treat me like this
How am I supposed to love laugh love in these conditions(ao3 is down)
The marauders and things my friends have said P.1

Punctuating Dialogue
✧
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”
