I forgot to post again yesterday, so it's another two-for-one deal on National Poetry Month! We're continuing our trend of dangerous womanhood with Lucille Clifton's won't you celebrate with me.
Part of shaping your own life is naming yourself. There is power in a name, as Enby-Phoenix explains beautifully in Names.
Yes! There is nothing wrong with phases, or taking time to find the terms that fit you, or changing your orientation. My understanding of myself has changed over time.
instead of assuring everyone that it “isn’t a phase”, why don’t we just assure everyone that if it is a phase it’s fine? it’s healthy to figure yourself out? because if we tell everyone it’s not a phase and it ends up being a phase, those people are going to feel guilty, like they stole resources or wasted time. It’s not bad to ‘go through a phase’. It’s a healthy way of finding out who you are. And if it isn’t a phase, that’s fine too. But if it is, there’s no reason to feel bad.
Woo-hoo!
A Pride Month comic about quietly being proud to be queer
I want the books, but I also love that little dragon!
It’s the fourth year I’ve put together this list and it’s so huge I can no longer host in on tumblr. Click over to google database and you will find 51 YA novels, 14 New Adult novels, and 22 Adult novels. As well three video game characters and five comic books characters.
Not only will this database tell you if there’s an asexual it also includes the following: Series name, character name, own voice authors, type of rep, genre, main character or minor, and if it includes other representation of some sort.
I guess Mr. Snowflake there needs to just move along from McDonalds.
Well, I’ve been fine when friends came out in the past, so I don’t see why I wouldn’t be now.
let’s see how many transphobics we can weed out
Beautifully said!

If you don't run, VOTE. (Vote if you do run, for that matter.) There is a lot at stake locally and in your state, and the ability for one person to make a difference in these elections is very high.
I know it feels like we just did this, but voting is like doing the dishes or laundry -- you have to keep at it. Unlike housework, you don't want to designate one person in your community to handle the chore for everyone else. (Let's be honest, they would probably fold your shirts wrong, too.)
