Asexual dragons and unicorns -- maybe that’s why they prefer virgins.
Mythical asexual moodboard
This is oddly enthralling. You build towers of sand, and periodically, a wave comes and dissolves them. Then you start over. That’s the whole game.
I can’t decide whether this little game is ultimately soothing or super frustrating. :D
I found a Maleficent lunch box with dragons on it in an after-Halloween sale several/many years ago. I happily took my lunch to work in it until it was literally falling apart. Some of my co-workers complimented me on it over the years, and some probably snickered at it (although no one ever gave me a hard time about it). Why give up the things that give you joy just because you’re supposed to be “too old” for them??
•buy toys/dolls/crayons •play with Legos •play old videogames/dress up games •weave friendship bracelets •watch cartoons •use stickers •draw pics of your favorite characters
If it makes you feel nice, do it. Don’t even worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter–if it brings you happiness, it’s not “ridiculous”, or “immature”.
You deserve to enjoy yourself.
I don’t really believe in the luck thing, but it’s a very cute kitty.
This is the lucky clover cat. reblog this in 30 seconds & he will bring u good luck and fortune.
As I librarian, I love the idea of the queer community being more like a library than an exclusive club. Huge thanks to FYA for choosing libraries as examples of open, welcoming, inclusive places!
Any aspec feeling down because of the posts telling not to go to pride, I've seen plenty of posts banning enbies, trans people, pans, bis and in one particularly baffling case, lesbians from attending. With literally the only group escaping these posts being cis gay men, I think it's safe to say they're rubbish. Gatekeepers can have their own super exclusive pride in some dark cave with rest of the council of evildoers.
I told my friend today that I think people see the queer community as this exclusive club and you must dress and appear “gay enough” to be allowed in, when I think the queer community should be more akin to a library that can host events. Because the exclusion of any dampers the pride I feel down until I don’t want pride symbols and colors everywhere because I don’t want to think about the heartbreak we do to each other 24/7.
I’m a little over half-way through and really enjoying this book. The short stories are based on fairy tales, and they feature a variety of asexual, aromantic, and other LGBTQIA+ characters. It’s worth way more than 99 cents!
Unburied Fables is 99 Cents Until June 10th!
This collection enlisted talent around the world. From students to seasoned professionals, these writers came together to raise awareness and reinvent classic stories. While they showcase a wide variety of origins, styles, and endings, all the tales in this anthology have one classic element in common: a happily ever after. Fifty percent of this collection’s proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project, a non-profit focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual and other queer youth.
Or donate directly to @thetrevorproject anytime in the month of June and I’ll send you the ebook!
Patrick Stewart has gotten to my favorite Shakespeare sonnet, 130!
Love people for who they are, not some idealized version of who you or society think they should be.
I don’t think I realized that sexual attraction was really the way it’s portrayed in stories until I learned about asexuality. I would accept it for the sake of the story, but I still have trouble, sometimes, believing that it’s any more real than telepathy or werewolves.
IM LAUGHING SO HARD I DIDNT THINK SEXUAL DESIRE WAS A REAL THING LIKE I ALWAYS SAW PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HOW THEY WANTED SEX BUT I THOUGHT THEY WERE JOKING OR EXAGGERATING OR SOMETHING THATS WHY IT WAS SO HARD FOR ME TO REALIZE I WAS ACE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WENT WITHOUT SAYING SEX ISNT THAT IMPORTANT IM 19 YEARS OLD I CANT STOP LAUGHING LITERALLY 99% OF THE POPULATION EXPERIENCES SEXUAL DESIRE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE
Sad but true.
If you’re truly “pro-life,” support affordable health care (including contraception) and safe food, water, and shelter for everyone. Prioritizing a collection of cells over an actual person is not about life, it’s about control.

If you see this decision as a win, educate yourself. People with uteruses WILL die. And if that’s okay with you, don’t claim you’re pro-life.
Oh, and a big, fat FUCK YOU.
