Joe, the muse of literature, fell in love with Cub, the god of decay.

needless to say the mortals were a little scared of the sheer chaos the two managed to create together.

Their natural powers working together produces... Curious results. Neither are quite creation or destruction, and yet that's what they're able to do.

Joe could write books and books about the beauty in Cub's role as god. Most people find it a negative thing, but Joe sees how it makes room for new growth.

He's writing even more books about their love life. He can't see that decay anytime soon.

so of course I had to imagine the lifers as gym leaders. i want to draw them but I'll probably be too lazy but here's my typing:

- grian: flying bc bird

- mumbo: steel bc it's all quite simple (i was gonna do electric but it fits a little better for impulse and steel is still machines, plus steel fits mumbo's color scheme better)

- cleo: ghost bc she's literally undead

- tango: fire because he's literally tango

- lizzie: fairy bc pink and fairy fort

- joel: poison bc he's toxic /lh

- ren: dragon bc dragons are regal idk

- martyn: psychic bc he's always one step ahead

- etho: ice bc he's cold/quiet and ice didn't fit for anyone else

- bigb: ground bc backrooms (like, when he made those weird underground tunnels in secret life... it's a stretch but i didn't know who else for ground)

- gem: fighting bc geminislay

- pearl: dark bc the moon idk

- jimmy: normal bc he's just a dude (i feel bad giving him such a lame type but idk who else to give normal to lol)

- scar: grass bc sunflowers during secret life, plus poppies and lilacs for third life, plus he's really good at building landscapes

- scott: water bc mean gill

- bdubs: bug bc he's a gremlin (lol idk)

- impulse: electric bc redstone and yellow

- skizz: rock bc idk, muscles ?
