Platinum Bones week day 4
[Tea Party] / Feast
“You should learn not to turn people into puppets,” Luz said with some severity: “it’s very rude.”
The Collector opened their eyes very wide on hearing this; but all they said was, “Why is a raven like a writing-desk?”
The Ninjago fandom is so cool to me cause it has the most popular crack ships I have ever seen. Like I have never been in a fandom where the craziest (/pos) ships can gather so much attention.
Like, yes, Lloyd is in love with that one kid at Darkley’s that was in one episode, Garmadon is in love with the TV camera man, the angsty ghost villain is in love with Zane’s lil brother, and Harumi is in love with a werewolf from another dimension.
by his era, japan had implemented a public education system however it was still common for poor urban children to not attend school so they could labor to earn money and did not receive education which we know is true about sanemi. so he is capable of reading, however his literacy level is low
Hey, thank you!!
Ig it's just a hc thing, then- I thought it was actual fact with the way people were talking about it lol
I'm gonna stick with the idea that it's bc he lost his fingers, as I think Shizu would've made sure they could go to school
Not to mention the corps trainers seem to teach the members sign language, so I don't see why they wouldn't teach reading/writing to their trainees either
Seen someone say “I can’t die, I got graves to dance on that hasn’t been dug yet.” And honestly, that goes hard. We need to keep that energy.
this came to me in a dream
Physical shops are also nice for spending time with friends- wandering along high streets and just looking through and having a nice time
Also feeling the textures of clothing- genuinely I will look at something, say 'that's nice,' then touch it and immediately say 'yuck!' Because it's like organza or something
every time I hear someone say “we should just get rid of physical shops and have everything online” I get a bit angry because
a) physical shops are important for those who don’t have access to a computer/ internet/ ect
b) those “weird” and “niche” shops I love so much don’t have the same vibe online, they turn into just another website
c) I hate paying for shipping
crabs are so gentle, they can be so kind. their claws? precise little things, so careful in the sand, so careful with food. they do what they must to live and wave their claws to express their joy to the world for giving so much to them, for giving such kindness to these creatures known as crabs. please be gentle to crabs
okay but there is something disquieting about this urge to cast fan writers as altruists. they give us all this for free!! well, no.
they’re sharing
it’s a key difference in perception. fic isn’t given. it’s shared. it’s part of a fandom community— in which readers are also an integral part.
it’s probably inevitable mission creep from the increasingly transactional nature of the internet and fandom-as-consumerism, which was always gonna happen after corps worked out how much bank there is to make from those weirdo fan people
but like. fandom is sharing. i think we’ve lost that somewhere.
Sleepy star child?
my headcanon: when a collector get physical body they are forget how to use eyes (and other stuff i guess?)
