If Poseidon And Athena Were Written Accurately, How Would They React To Percabeth?

I don't hate Caleo fans.

I just want them to learn about the real Calypso and what she did in the Odyssey.

Percy doesn't deserve godhood-not because he's too weak for it, but because it's too horrible a thing to wish upon him.

I love them. They're the healthiest relationships that Jude has had in ages. I simply love the Bomb and Jude-it's nice to see good female relationships.

TBH I really think that the Bomb is Jude's healthiest female relationship other than Heather. Vivienne and Jude have a relatively healthy relationship, but there's a lot of unpacked trauma and understandable resentment on both sides. So yeah, the Bomb is her healthiest relationship with a female.

(I mean, there was that one time when the Bomb thought that Jude was the assassin and tried to kill her, but they cleared it up and the Bomb was actually sorry for what she had done. It's a good apology scene too).

And THE ROACH? Girl, he's my favorite character apart from Vivienne. I need to see more Roach. He's so chill, I love characters like those.

And the Ghost is amazing too. I love how complex he is too. Poisoned Liriope, but helped Locke. And he was kind of forced to obey Madoc and Locke, so yeah, there's that. And he literally told Jude to kill him so that he couldn't help Madoc-that right there is a whole other level of bravery, loyalty and dedication to his friends. And his scenes with Oak? Amazing. I also liked his scenes with Jude-killing the spy, training, etc.

Every Ghost, Bomb and/or Roach scene is amazing and so immersive for me.

To be honest, I don't care for the Bomb and Roach's romantic relationship, but I don't dislike it either-I just don't care for romance in general.

I love the whole Court of Shadows together, especially with Jude. They're all so funny and classy-Dain really knew what he was doing when he recruited them.

A Percabeth rewrite featuring Rachel Dare (platonic Perachel?)

Percy bit his lip. 'Annabeth.......listen, I'm not going out with Rachel-it's nothing like that. It's just, she's clear sighted, and I met her at the Hoover Dam last year, and we go to Goode together, and I can help her learn more about what's she's seeing, the mythological world. And she can..........'

Well.........what was he supposed to say? That she was normal? That she could provide him with a normal life? That she could help him get away from all the stress of it?

'She can give you what I can't.'

Percy looked up, startled. What?

'You heard me.' Annabeth's gray eyes seemed to pierce through his brain and take stock of his excuses. 'She can give you what I can't. She's a normal mortal. She doesn't this about this world-' she swept her arms around her, '-and even if she does, she doesn't know about you in this world.........and.........whose son you are. What you do.'

Percy nodded his head, feeling awful, surprised and somewhat relieved at the same time. He didn't want Annabeth to think that he liked Rachel more than her, but sometimes-

'And you can tell me that hey, no, I help you too, but the thing is, I know. I know who you are, what you can do, what you did do. And even if we go out to the movies or a park or to just get away from it, the knowledge will always be there. Both of us will always know about this world, and as exciting and cool as it may be, sometimes you just want to get away from it too.'

Her voice wobbled and then cracked, and she blinked her eyes multiple times and gulped.

Percy felt so guilty. He didn't even think about what Annabeth felt-

'Don't feel guilty for this, Percy. Thing is, I'm just a regular daughter of Athena. I mean, I'm a really senior person here, but I'm different from you-you're the chosen one, the son of a Big 3 god, the literal enemy of my mom. You.........have so much more on your back than I do. The prophecy. Everyone's expectations. And there comes a point when Atlas wants someone else to hold the sky, and well, that's Rachel for you.'

She unconsciously touched her gray streak, and Percy found himself doing the same.

Is it always going to stay there?

'So no, I'm not angry with you. You need Rachel. I-' Annabeth shook her head. 'You need this, Percy. Go and do........whatever you want with her. And, maybe one day, everything will be good for you again.'

I want to draw you (Part 2)

Heather showed Vivienne her drawings. They were amazing-Vivienne loved how they portrayed her cat eyes and faerie ears, making them pop. 

‘How long have you been drawing?’

‘Well, since I was a toddler. I’m going to attend community college and major in something involving art. I just love drawing and painting-it’s my central passion. I’d die if I couldn’t draw anymore.’

‘So, drawing is the thing that calms you down?’ Vivienne said.

‘Most of the time, yeah. It doesn’t always help me, though-sometimes my emotions are so intense that even if I draw, I can’t calm down, and when I have art block, it’s the worst.’

‘Yeah, art block sounds bad if your main thing is drawing,’ Vivi agreed. ‘Um, hey, want to go get some Chinese food? Just you and me-I can pay for it.’

‘Ooh, really? That would be great! I’ll pay for my own food, though. You can pay for yours.’

They went to that great Chinese restaurant-the one with the amazing fortune cookies. Heather had been there once and she’d gotten the funniest fortune-there is money in your future-that doesn’t belong to you.

‘They have really funny fortunes, though you find generic ones too.’ she said. She started talking about the restaurant and telling Vivienne all about it, though Vivienne had been there a few times before (in glamour disguise). Still, Vivi nodded her head and pretended that she was just going there for the first time, just to hear Heather talk about it.

They ordered spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken. Heather talked about her life and family and Vivienne listened to her. 

Before she knew it, hours had passed and Heather had to go home. They exchanged numbers and she left, Vivienne staring after her. 

When Vivi returned home, Taryn asked her why she was smiling so hard, and she blinked and noticed that she was. She simply shook her head and went to her bedroom, then jumped onto the bed, squealing and giggling. Maybe life wasn’t so bad after all.

I just want to say thanks for all of your anti percabeth takes. I never really shipped percabeth and I always felt sort of weird about them but I never realized why until I starting reading your posts. I think Rick is way better at setting up ideas and concepts of a relationships than he actually is at writing them. Like the idea of a Percabeth is great but the execution falls flat. There are so many non-canon Percy ships that have great potential and could be much better than canon Percabeth but this fandom is really against shipping non-canon ships (especially if it involves not shipping Percy and Annabeth)

Thank you! Yes, you are absolutely right-Percabeth's concept is amazing, but in the end, the result is honestly less than desirable. There are many moments between them that do not belong in a healthy couple, much less a golden standard one (though you couldn't make me call Percabeth the golden standard at gunpoint).

My dad is going to die. He's going to be taken off the ventilator and we're going to meet him and then he's going to die.

I didn't expect it to happen so soon. I knew that he had only a few years left, but I never thought that it would happen this soon. He's never going to come back and lie down. I'm never going to hug him at night again or kiss him or give him water or call him nicknames and laugh at his fake indignation.

It's weird because I found out yesterday evening. I thought that maybe he could get surgery or live, but he's choosing to die because it's been really hard for him for these past few years. And I wish that he could stay alive so that I could be with him for some more time.

I'm crying right now. I'm not feeling anything, but maybe that will change. I don't know how I'll cope or what's going to happen. I'll probably kill myself because the future is not going to be good or easy. God.........I don't know what to do.
