. TREES
A bare witness,
A bare wilderness
Naked but not free
Been used from time and time again
Taken for granted
Tossed to the side when there’s nothing
Left Not even a thank you.
Heart imagery by Andrea Zantelli
What does it look like for one person to hold on while the other hand has let go? For me it looks like awkward car rides with no way home cause nothing lasts forever
It’s like sleeping in the same house but in different rooms
Umduğunu bulamazsan bulduğunu um..
thank you
If you feel a little crazy looking at news coverage of Gaza or any other military operations, I HIGHLY recommend looking at the Words About War guide which provides lists of misleading phrases commonly used by governments and the media to obscure the realities of war. Sitting down with a news article with this guide and replacing things like "enemy noncombatant" with "civilians" will change the entire way you look at war news and the media as an agent of the military machine. They also have a special guide on Gaza!!
HEARTBEAT
She’s cold and chilling to the bone
Hollow inside and out
Airy and spacious
She keeps my heart slow
Awake I am
But drowsy eyelids blink and blink
I am in a poisonous trap,
A smooth rhythm that is coming to an end.
Harmonious, a voice so sweet to the ears.
An unforgettable smile, diamond eyes.
She keeps my heart warm that the sun is jealous
Of her.
Come on now,
Don’t you know any better than to be messing with fate?
Tick, tick, tick.
Time ignores your presence, it has no hold on you.
You don’t believe in destiny.
Now it’s time to make the change.
WINTER
The grey skies take over, fuzziness endures
Staying by the fire could be helpful
Just don’t mourn over the storm;
As you sit, gazing at the warm fire
You know you are still cold
From the protection of The lonely winter.

UNTITLED SHORT STORY EXCERPT:
In the distance she saw a warm glow, a sigh escaped her lips. Almost home. The rain picked up, wind pushing it in every direction. Carrie picked up her pace, at least the rain would hide her pit stains.
Almost home.
She could feel herself running clumsily down the slick concrete and puddles. The light was still there but why did it seem so far away? The North Judah street sign was tattered but it was there, she was there.
BRIGHT
Greys, blacks, and whites
In a world full of dull
You are my light.
She shines so bright
Vivid dreams come to life
She whispers things
That my heart can’t
Retain
She sings things to my brain
That I just can’t explain
She makes me breathe
Pushing the oxygen from
Her love
Into my lungs
She reaches and pulls
Down the moon and the
Stars.
She goes far.
