2. most internet consumers understand how quickly hype dies. it's not supposed to last forever, and dp&w lasting 1-3 months is impressive

3. downright ignorant. there are people who continue to spend HOURS drawing fanart or writing fics. the fandom isn't dead.

this post is not about audience engagement. it's about the blatent dismissal of creators' work and being content-hungry because it's not august 2024 anymore when everyone and their mothers were publishing dp&w content

Meanwhile the people who are making the content are left feeling insulted because lord forbid we're not enough. Dude stfu and make your own stuff or didn't complain.

Do you see me whining about Boondock Saints? No! Because that's an old franchise and there's not near as much stuff as they're used to be, but I love everything that comes from it. And I don't ever complain.
