Spoilers below the cut so read at your own transgression.
Am I the only one disappointed by this episode? It was the best of the season, but I still felt like a lot of subplots leading up to it were just thrown away.
Like I still don't get Paz's son subplot. He didn't act like a scared parent until they got the nest but if that had been my kid after a few days I would be burning the whole planet down to get to my kid. And for Paz to choose to sacrifice himself once again orphaning his foundling... either Paz has NO fatherly instincts or this wasn't thought through.
I also keep side eyeing Bo. It's great she's admitted to some of her failings but she should have let Koska spill the beans about her crimes cause so far it seems like almost everyone is in the dark as to what Bo has done in Clone Wars and Rebels and it's giving me a lot of anxiety. I'm glad people want Bo's redemption but the sins she committed aren't the kind you just... forgive overnight no matter how much you love her as a character.
I do applaud them for writing in her third failed attempt at taking back Mandalore by proving her curse exists for taking back the saber on a technicality. But I'm still unsure of how they didn't know the base was there when they put together a whole fleet for just that reason and Bo's home was destroyed by those same TIE fighters. I don't get why she's shocked.
I might be being overly critical thinking about this, but I just didn't like it as much as I had hoped but it's exactly what I had expected and longed for at the beginning of the season. Still excited for next week, but at this point I feel like I'm tapping out of the show if it continues like this next season.
creating this mostly for myself for when i need this but also because several people have asked me how i find jobs! so here’s a list of seasonal/outdoor work job boards for yall/my future self-
coolworks- this is the “staple” job board- it’s lighter on the conservation side and heavier on the seasonal work- think more housekeeping, guest services, etc. but it sometimes has good stuff and is a great way to break into the outdoor job world! also if you’re ever in a housing pinch, they have a section of jobs with housing, which is a great way to escape your living situation if you need.
texas a&m university- this is a natural resources job board & conservation specific. lots of volunteer positions & lots of openings for biology things.
conservation job board- what it says on the tin. also contains some more ‘indoors’ type jobs that are still conservation- think grant writing, etc.
usa jobs- anything government. you need an account and a usa jobs specific resume.
good food jobs- more farm/food jobs and less conservation. if you have restaurant experience you’ll find stuff here, but it has a lot of farm things too! seemingly constantly updating. you need to make an account to apply.
backdoorjobs- coolworks but more obscure and a little harder to navigate. things seem to be better paying on there but stuff is posted less often and stays on there after the position’s been filled.
farm and ranch jobs- what it says on the tin.
agriculture careers- this is ag jobs but much more career focused, and you need to make an account to really view anything.
farm job list- what it says on the tin.
farm job search- what it says on the tin.
good luck and happy job hunting!

I guess the thing to be learned from everything going on with The Mandalorian storytelling right now is how vital it is to understand what characters and themes make your story compelling to your audience. What aspects of your story made people fall in love with it and keep coming back to it? Those are the things you shouldn’t heavily mess with without careful consideration and planning otherwise you’ll alienate your entire audience. Imagine if The Hunger Games switched from Katniss’s pov to the pov of some other tribute mid-series; the whole story would fall apart. Or imagine if the series pivoted away from its main themes halfway though. It just wouldn’t make sense. You have to think deliberately and critically about what characters, themes, etc your story couldn’t “live” without — what things make your story
