We have fled from one place to another, living in constant fear amidst severe shortages of food and medicine, hoping only to survive this brutal war. im making this post to help support the fundraiser of @falestine-yousef, a 36 year old woman from gaza who is trying to save her family.
falestine's home was destroyed by the idf and her and her family have been made homeless. she recently gave birth to her son yousef during the war and had to immediately move into a tent where there is no access to clean water, food, sanitation, or really anything that a newborn child or mother need. so many women in gaza have had to give birth in the absolute worst conditions that are extremely dangerous, so it is urgent to raise money for this family. prices for everyday items like food and clean water are exorbitantly high and every donation can make a difference. her elderly parents are both suffering from health issues and need treatment that is simply unavailable in gaza right now. its so horrific that so many people have lost everything, so please donate and help this family.

gotta say something about American Republicans and their current hero complex over being anti-anti-Semitic.
Republicans have always been anti-Semitic, at least as long as the Republican party has stood for its current values. Remember that the Republican party used to Lincoln's party. And the racists of that party broke off from Lincoln and kept the name Republican. And it was literally over abolition. Modern day Republicans come from these people who did not want to see enslaved people freed.
And they have not changed.
These are the same people who look the other way at the KKK, or who will actively join it. And who else does the KKK hate besides black people? Jewish people.
Also please remember the term WASP. It was used a lot in the 90s as a point of pride by the people who belonged. It stands for white anglo saxon protestant. Protestants include a LOT of people who hate Jews, and their religion actively encourages that hatred.
I mean for fuck's sake, in rehab there was a counselor who kept mentioned how the "Romans and the Jews" killed Jesus. (he got fired, don't worry. he was universally hated there. but still, that is a very common sentiment among usually older American Christians, who are are almost always Republican)
Republicans do not respect other religions. And they especially hate Judaism because it does not hold all the same values as this twisted American Puritan Christianity that Republicans try to force on everyone else. I'm not Jewish and I am ignorant. But from what little I have learned, I suspect that there are certain concepts in Judaism that conflict with the hateful, controlling, and arrogant key values of WASPy Christianity. I would daresay that in many ways Judaism is more liberal than Protestantism. And Republicans cannot, will not suffer a liberal idea to live in their heartless little world.
So, with all that said, I think that the current "support" of the Jewish community by Republicans is another one of their disgusting lies and attempt at manipulation and control. They don't care about Jews. They care about maintaining power and control in Isreal, a government that is doing things many Jews do not approve of, to say the least.
The Republicans in power will justify arresting people and trying to control colleges over their professed concern of anti-Semitism but don't forget for a fucking second that this is a lie. Republicans hate Jewish people. They always will, unless a miracle happens and some reform happens in their toxic party.
Just like how the president is throwing himself at Putin, making Russia out to be our friend, when in the not so distant past, they were our mortal enemy. They haven't changed, except for the worse, and yet American Republicans side with them?
They have no values. They have no goals. None other the purest and basest lust for power, control, and resources. And they will do and say anything, including lies and contradictions, to achieve this never-ending goal.

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day. People are aware of autism now, some of them even accept it, but how many actually appreciate it? So many people see autism appreciation as “this science/acting/musical genius has added so much to society! We must appreciate them!” Okay, but what about those of us whose talents aren’t as easily seen, or marketable? Those who aren’t in the spotlight?
We should appreciate the autistic people we know in our day to day life. Every autistic person is awesome, and it’s not in spite of our autism, but because of our autism. It’s because I’m autistic that I am who I am. If someone appreciates me I would want them to also appreciate my autism because it’s part of what makes me me.
To reach autism appreciation it’s going to be a fight. We’re going to have to keep climbing. There are so many who want to drag us down. They see us as different and in need of fixing. They see having an autistic child as something to be mourned instead of celebrated. We need to celebrate. We need to drown out their cries of sadness with our cheers of joy.
We are autistic, and we will never stop climbing!
