Lobster Bird

This is a turtled lobster bird.  It’s a very sad combination of things that came to me while staring at a wall.  If you want to know, this is how most of my ideas come to me, staring at walls.

Found a whole mess of truck icons I did years ago. Dusted this one off because I liked it. Used to work in pixels so often.

A Brief History of Captain America's Duds

I have a friend who is both a Captain America nut and a uniform aficionado. As a birthday present, I made a big old poster combining both. Here we have the main iterations of Steve Rogers' (one Bucky if you're counting) uniform throughout his career in the Marvel Captain America universe. He went through some hard times of disillusionment and physical adversity and his choice of costume did pretty well in reflecting that (except maybe the laughable The Nomad getup). Suffice to say, I learned a whole lot about the man in stars and stripes. You can get this beast over at the shop. The poster is 16" x 20". GET IT!

Continuing the 2015 calendar project, this month is Akira! Again. Just a very important comic (to me and recipient of all these cal pages!). Did lots and lots of texture on this bad boy and bloomy light effects (new to my work stuff). Different styling and very pleased with the outcome. More comin’.

To cap off this week of music, my crowning achievement: Brighten Up Sourpuss. This is the fullest, best made PSH attempt yet and really reflects what I like and what I do. Hope you enjoy. Graphic Booklet: Male Emotions

Further character study for the graphic booklet’s male character. I needed to simplify my typical facial style to pull out the highs and lows I was looking for. Since the character has very little to say in the story, I needed a very expressive, cartoony body capable of movement aplenty.

This is an alternate look for the upcoming art for DJ Lani Love's new summer mixtape. In this version, the text for Lani Love is large and interacts with the front row of trees. I really liked this treatment but also have to admit that Ms Love was right in requesting a smaller, more cohesive nametag down at the bottom. Final version coming soon.

Was doing some work on a graphic about electronic medical files and this was the first chunk of it before it got all medical-techy.
