a man self immolated in front of the israeli embassy in washington dc yesterday. not just any man. an active member of the us air force. he live streamed his death, and said that he refused to be complicit in a genocide any longer. he said that compared to what palestinians were facing every day, setting himself alight was nothing.

let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.

his name was Aaron Bushnell. he was twenty five years old. and he isn’t here anymore because the political ruling class has decided that genocide is perfectly fine as long as it preserves imperialism. in the coming days, people will try to discredit him. to say that he was mentally unstable. they will try to bury his actions to save face and defend israel’s propaganda. do not let them. aaron knew what he was doing. he knew what he was doing when he put on his military uniform, set up his twitch stream, and made his final walk up to the embassy. he knew what would happen to him when he flicked that lighter. do not let them forget. aaron’s blood is on the hands of the political ruling class.

Please please please do not cancel and/or ask for a refund of a commission, be it art or writing, just because the artist or writer in question is Filipino. Our current situation is distressing and anxiety-inducing, and canceling commissions will only add to it. There is even the possibility that if another Marcos sits on the presidential seat, Paypal can pull out of the Philippines and prevent us from making transactions with people from other countries. We need all the help and support that we can get, whether through sharing information, through monetary support, and other things.

The secret Dungeon Meshi sauce that's getting people to eat better is that it's so non-judgmental. Senshi and the rest of the gang never talk about what not to eat besides things that taste bad and literal poison. They don't even talk about "health" that much besides the importance of a balanced diet. It's so much easier to eat well when you think of food simply as something your body needs, and that it's often worth the extra effort to make it taste good, especially when you understand how to connect "things your body needs" with "things that taste good"

The farm is practically buried in snow. Everywhere I look, it's all white. Dad said he's worried about the animals. Richard told me he's more concerned about how we're going to shovel all that snow. We've made bet on how long it'll take. Richard thinks it'll only take two days. He's too confident. I'd say we'll need more than four. Though, I'm screwed if the farmhands are around… I wonder if it's too late to change my wager…

Anyways, how are you? I've heard that you're in law school right now. Good job! I think Richard was planning to do law too— that, or business. I could never tell what exactly the guy wanted to do. He just wanted to have more, and more.

Right now I'm still working at the farm. Though, I'll be honest- I'm kind of sick of the place. I love dad, and Richard is okay. But it's just the town that's the problem. I can never go outside without people staring at me.

You probably think I deserve it. You're right. But don't I also deserve to be able to go outside without having eyes on me at all times?

It's Christmas soon! Dad sent the rest of our family presents. All Richard and I got were new boots— Same thing he got us last year. No problem with a new pair. I just wish dad knew we'd like something else like, I don't know, maybe a new car? I've had my truck since high school, and it's a miracle it hasn't gone kaboom.

I've sent something along with the letter. Though, you probably already knew that. I'm not gonna say what it is (That'd ruin the surprise!!) but you'll definitely thank me when you see what it is. Or at least, feel some degree of appreciation.

A very merry christmas to all of you! Apologies for my absence. There's really no excuse. I'm still accepting requests, though requests for sequels are up for debate.

On the subject of sequels- Will there be one for Gabe? I know I had the first one labelled as Part 1, and I do plan to provide it a Part 2, and I already have an ending in mind (As hinted in the letter) but I'm still trying to figure out a way to get there.
