just got casted as elmer in a local production of newsies… let the hyperfixation begin again.

it’s actually insane that in theory, a kid who participated in the historical Newsies strike could’ve lived long enough to see 92sies.

Like imagine that you were in a strike with a bunch of other kids when you were like 9, and then when you’re in your 90’s you see that they made a whole-ass movie about it.

in the background of the scene where davey meets medda you can see some of the newsies (specifically mush) helping out at the theater before the show and i like to think some of the boys help out before some of the shows for some extra money after they sell their papers
