Hi everyone, I never ask these kinds of things but,

I'm here to ask for your help. I'm a transgender individual who is struggling financially to purchase a binder. Wearing a binder will help me feel more comfortable in my own skin and alleviate some of my dysphoria. (Which has been at an all-time high recently)

As you may know, binders can be pricey, and I don't have the resources to purchase one on my own.(in fact I don't have any money at all, because I'm a minor, who doesn't have a job) If you are able and willing to help, I would be forever grateful. I'm humbly asking for a donation of at least $30, which would cover the cost of the binder and some transportation expenses.

probably over a year ago I had a customer come into the shop, a man I'd guess probably 70-ish? And he hung around the till whilst I was dealing with another customer and then when I was done he handed me a bit of paper and on the paper it said 'books about crossdressing'

well, I did my best - he was obviously very nervous and I wanted to help him find something useful. Unfortunately there's not a lot of books about crossdressing - lots on trans stuff obviously! But I wasn't clear on whether he was thinking of transitioning and he was so nervous I didn't want to push him for any details. He ended up buying Eddie Izzard's biography and seemed pretty happy with that, but I never forgot it and I've always kept an eye out for those kind of books since.

Today he came back in, came round to the side of the till again, took out his phone and started showing me photos of himself wearing dresses, at which point I realised it was him. I nearly cried, it was so lovely! He still wanted books on crossdressing so I told him I'd do some more research & write him a list, but I'm hitting the same problem again - there's not a lot specifically about crossdressing. My colleague & I have made a list including books on drag, books on transitioning, books on women's fashion generally, but I am hoping despite my lack of reach on Tumblr I might be able to get recommendations from people with more knowledge than me. Please send me suggestions!

Spoilers for I Saw The Tv Glow under cut

This movie hit very deep for me, almost in a primal sense. I'm shaking typing this out and after watching it. I don't understand it 100% but I feel like the message hit me in some way that is hard to comprehend. I sketched this out very quickly, so that's why it kind of sucks.

It's hard to describe why I enjoyed it so much, but I throughly enjoyed it.

You can bend over backwards trying not to be one of “those” cringey queers who wears pride everywhere and goes by arson and has they/it/fluff/pixel/boo pronouns on a catgender pin they wear everywhere and suppress everything “extra” unlikable about your identity and pass as a “normal” cishet and mock everyone who dyes their hair for pride and wears rainbow nail polish and guess what? Conservatives will still want you dead. There is no appeasing them. Stand by your community. Maybe you’ll find that arson (they/it/fluff/pixel/boo) is going to be the best goddamn person to have in your corner when the republicans you’ve given up your life to placate inevitably turn on you and try to sentence you to death because any amount of queer is too damn queer. Maybe you’ll find that we are a community for a reason. We’re all equally degenerate in the eyes in conservatives and equally worthy of joy and life in the eyes of the “weird” queer community you shun.
