The Dream SMP fandoms is the most chaotic fandoms I’ve ever been in. If you miss one week with other shows you can just catch up after an hour or two of binging, but with the DSMP you miss one week and your behind 2 major plot points, a canon death, another character having a villain ark, and have to sell your first born to know whatever the nethers happening to Ranboo.
Imagine you're the leader of this powerful cult surrounding a telepathic egg that expands its vines and followers every day and the one that dares to defy you is a fucking child who never seems to die and his best friend holding his hand, both making fun of you
also a half enderman child vandalizing your posters with bad jokes
At the end of May my family was evicted from our apartment and forced to stay in a hotel while working on new living arrangements. This took two months, and during this time we had to spend >$200 a night for a pair of rooms for the four of us and our two cats (plus other costs, such as our storage units for our stuff, and food and the like). Our reserves of money are stretched thin, and all that’s left is needed for things such as paying people to move our items into our new home.
My mother lost her job earlier in the year due to cutbacks because of COVID, and my father is dealing with an as-yet unknown illness that, while still allowing him to work from home, has left him in immense pain. Meanwhile I have had to hold off on beginning my transition until we’re moved in, and that, too, will be costly.
