However, I have to point out that Regulus offered himself up to drink the poison and die in that cave rather than letting Kreacher do it. Blood supremacists believe themselves to be more valuable than any living thing, but Regulus preserved Kreachers life and not his own. People like Lucius Malfoy, a confirmed blood supremacist would have left the houseful to die, but Regulus didn't. Furthermore, Regulus was 18 and all he had ever known was his family's ideology. He was raised by his parents in this ideology and then spent his time in Slytherin which at the time was filled with blood supremacists and future death eaters. If we say for a moment that he was racist, as bad as it is, its not really his fault because he was a child and didn't know any better. Does that make any racist actions okay? of course not. But some of you are forgetting that he was a child. In real life, most people dont break away from bigoted beliefs taught by their parents until they are taught better, and Regulus probably never was. Stop holding child characters to the same standard as adult characters If you can do it for Peter and Snape and even James then you can do it for Regulus.

No he's not, be so for real right now. In the majority of fics Regulus is left out/ignored by the marauders unless he and Sirius have a good relationship. And when they have a good relationship it makes sense for Regulus to be around his brother and the rest of the marauders, especially when Jegulus is happening. Peter being forgotten isn't a new thing, that has been an issue for years, so stop blaming it on the rise in Regulus popularity.

He only posts regularly on the second one but if you go onto the reposts of his "official" account, you'd only find edits of Regulus.

He also uses that one to comment on his favourite ones and the fans love it

Walburga and Orion were always blood supremacists and agreed with Voldemort. They raised their children with these beliefs. We dont know if Regulus joined willingly or they pressured him into it, but he was 16 when he joined. He was a child and it was their responsibility and their fault either way.

What annoys me the most about this fandom is that people are always arguing about the most ridiculous things.

Why is it that we as a fandom seem to feel the need to attack each other for what we like and what we dislike.

Why does one character or ship have to be better than others?

If you don't ship something just keep scrolling. It takes more effort to open the comment section and leave a hate comment than to just find content that you do like. it's not that hard.

I think some people forget that we don't all have to agree. It's okay to ship a rare pairing that other people might find odd and it's okay to make a seemingly 'bad' character more three dimensional.

As long as its not harmful content that someone is making or consuming, why should it matter to you.

At the end of the day, it's all made up so who gives a damn.

I can like Regulus as a character without hating on lily because guess what, there is no reason to be constantly pitting them against each other. They are FICTIONAL.

Jegulus is not better than Jily or the other way around, they're just different.

I love Lily and the other female characters but it is possible for someone to dislike one of them and not for misogynistic reasons. Not everything is an attack on women.

Sometimes I like reading fics where certain characters I like are villanised because it seems funny, including Lily. That's not misogynistic. Especially not if I read ones where James or barty or sirius are the bad guy sometimes.

It's okay to like snape. I don't and you might not but that doesn't give you a right to attack the people who do.

What Im saying is, leave people alone and stop attacking them for having different opinions. If you're going to criticise a ship or character at least have the decency to do it in a place where the people who like said character or ship don't have to see it.

It really isn't that hard.

This fandom is supposed to be a free space to enjoy content you enjoy but sometimes doesn't feel like it because of the people who behave like their opinion should be fact and those who disagree can be harassed and bullied until they leave.

Just try to remember that just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's wrong.

12 year old Regulus who writes 'Regulus Potter' in hearts all over a page in his notebook and then throws it into a fire when Barty comes back to the room unexpectedly early.

12 year old Barty who has to be physically stopped from putting his hand into the fire because he knows that it has something embarrassing in it and wants to tease Regulus.

The anti jeguls and anti regulus people calling everyone fascists are starting to get on my nerves. Especially because they're flooding the jegulus tag while complaining about us flooding the other tags. Hypocrisy at its finest.
