3 and a half bags of donations prepared for 3 of the community groups I frequently attend and receive so much from. Time to give back a little. Mostly art related supplies. Though I've also included some personal care products that are always in need by MHRC. #sitelines thru @centre3_ , @thelostorganization and #mentalhealthrightscoalition I will also be making a small cash donation to @harrrp since I do pottery there. Crescent moon over Bayfront Park. I'm at the park area trying to catch the sunset (not really) and check on the status of the 3 swan pairs with nests in the area. Sadly things don't appear to be fairing well. One nest near the Bayfront boat launch apparently has lost 1 egg (down to 5??). One pair near the macassa marina has lost all their eggs and have abandoned their nest. I couldn't find any shell fragments. They were out in open water several hundred metres away with no young. An animation GIF file I made recently at the Sitelines Photoshop Animation program. Thanks to grants from the Ontario Trilluim @ontrillium Foundation, @centre3_ has been to put together various programs to help those who currently have or have had issues with mental health - often for free. I'm grateful for these #arttherapy programs. Interesting and fun. I took a photograph of a waterfall setting and used PS to change its look for the background. Then took another photo of a leaping dolphin, deleted its background then created a series of layers with the dolphin appearing at various stages of an imagined leap. Orion Nebula - the middle "star" in Orion's sword in the same constellation. A favourite target for all astro-photographers because of its colours and size. It is fairly easy to image without overly fancy equipment. After visiting the Devil's Punchbowl, I went down to Van Wagner's beach to look for some small pieces of driftwood for an upcoming project I want to try. With all the rain, water levels are very high and the beach front has experienced a lot of erosion and accumulation of debris. (at Van Wagners Beach)

The CP Holiday Train arrived in Hamilton tonight near Gage Park. As usual, huge crowds showed up to listen to the music (Sam Roberts) and see the festive train. This is the first time that events and conditions (and memory) all worked together for me to actually see the train. Went with a good friend who had difficulty seeing over the crowd even though she's reasonably tall. Cold and windy. A hot coffee afterwards was a very welcome way to warm up. After, I tracked the train to the yards in west Hamilton where it stayed for the night before continuing on to Cambridge tomorrow.
