reblogging comic again with this addition because it is gold. On top of a landlords office no less.

The first four pages of a zine. The first page has a house sparrow flying with a stick in her claws and a worm in her mouth. The background is a blue sky. The word above her is Resilience. Below her the words are the author's name (Ari Coester) and tumblr handle (astro-axolotl). The second page has a yellow stucco store front with a red letters that say HOME. There are spikes on any flat surface. The sky is blue with a few clouds. The top line reads "the coporate bigwigs had antibird spikes put up." The bottom line reads "to stop them from perching and pooping. The third page shows a sparrow perching on an antibird spike on top of the M. The text reads "The house sparrows were not deterred." The fourth page starts with the text "they built nests." A bird perches on a nest built in the H. Below another bird builds a nest in the O. A final bird works to build a nest in the middle of the M.
A four panel comic continuation of the comic above. On the fifth page, there's now 2 white eggs with brown speckles in the H nest. In the O nest two baby birds beg for food from their father, who brings them a worm. In the M nest a father sits with two larger chicks, one of who is screaming while the other sits there. The text says they raised families. The sixth page is a close up of the M nest. The mother is coming to land. The father sits on the back edge, and the 2 babies sit up front. On the M is the text "kept safe by what was meant to keep them out." The seventh is a repeat of the first page, covered in poop with many silhouettes of house sparrows flying in the sky above. The text says "And they are pooping more than ever. The final page is a brown sparrow feather on a blue background.

From the tip of her blade, a larger replica rises and hovers above her head. She stares back at the camera with eyes the color of the moth. The background is a lurid warm to cool purple brushstroke gradient.

Some people in her order get bears or wolves as their spirit bonds. She got a moth.... because she didn't need any extra strength.

She grips the neck of an eastern bluebird in her mouth, and her lips are as red as its blood that trickles out of the corner of her mouth. Her eyes are dark blue and neutral beneath red eyebrows. Her long hair billows out behind her and goes from red at the ends to purple to dark blue. Her dress's chest is bright orange like a blue birds' then shifts to red then purple then dark blue at the waist. The dress's arms are light blue like blue bird feathers at the top and then transition to dark blue. The crescent moon hangs with the dark part down towards her head and stays behind her like a halo. The sky is yellow around her waist, pink near the bottom of her chest, and then finally dark purple. Small lavender stars are scattered across it. Black raspberries are suspended from green vines with mauve thorns that frame the scene. The bottom of the frame is green serrated leaves. Two bluebirds fly on either side of the front of the bird eater.

Experiment with a circular canvas. Birds are still hard to draw and yet so so satisfying.

A pair of six-sided pink fuzzy dice connected by a braided purple cord. The ones are replaced by big round eyes with dark purple cat-like pupils. The left dice has a wide pupil and a mischievous grin with sharp teeth. A thin pointed tongue flicks out from its mouth. The right's pupil is smaller and its smile more timid. Its tongue is rounded. Each dice stands on a single orange chicken leg with white toes and spurs.

A silly little monster to brighten your day. I think they look funny hopping around.
