AU where Tubbo is Dream’s brother. Dream has pretty much raised Tubbo, after they washed up alone on a beach shore, and the two are incredibly close. However, their desire to roam and explore is untamed, and once the two are both old enough, they part ways to adventure.
Dream goes onto his Manhunts and Duels, and eventually the SMP.
Meanwhile, Tubbo becomes a seasoned adventurer, jumping through worlds and meeting many new friends. He goes through Mianite, Hermitcraft, ect. However, one of his best friends is Tommyinnit, a boy he meets on SMP Earth, and quickly becomes close to.
The two eventually go their separate ways, with Tubbo still wanting to explore more, and Tommy going with his brother to this ‘Dream SMP’ place. It’s a bit sad, but overall, good, and Tubbo hopes his friend will be happy there.
Four years later, he gets a desperate, tear-stained letter from the boy he would gladly call his best friend, telling of the horrors he’s faced, and pleading for him to just come, if only for an hour or so.
Tubbo goes, and finds more than just his traumatized friend waiting for him-cruel truths and unkind realizations lie just around the bend as he must confront who his brother has become, as well as all the people he has hurt.

Here's a list of things I liked in s4 because I need more than one morbidly beautiful opening shot to give me a purpose in life:
Confirmation that Ben and Viktor were close as children
Proof that Ben's always had a mean streak in him, the brainwashing just made him seem like a saint
The concept of the time subway
Five's Deli
That scene with Diego spinning in the air with bullets swirling around him
Jennifer having a Filipina actress
Diego and Lila's daughter being named Grace
Klaus practically being Claire's other parent
Luther embracing the silly
Gene and Jean
Behind your back, Bal...
Lots of jokes get made in modern comics and fandom about the pejorative double entendre of Dick Grayson’s given/chosen nickname for Richard, and it IS funny, but I want to give a moment of appreciation for the other, kind of brilliant, double meaning that’s unfortunately fallen out of common modern usage, but would have been way more common when he was first named in 1940.
He’s literally named “detective” you guys, there is no way the World’s Greatest Detective’s partner wasn’t named this way on purpose.
Add to this the way the fandom loves to explore the 21st century reveal/retcon of Dick Grayson’s Romani heritage, and the possible etymology of the word, and you have a goldmine of largely untapped, to my knowledge, discussion of thoughts from Dick Grayson and the people around him about the relationship between his identity, the life he chose, the things he chooses to honor/remember, and the persistence of a nickname that has fallen increasingly out of favor in most other modern contexts.
I love when it’s as simple as “it’s his name and there’s no reason to change it”, but I also think there’s just lots of room for him to also have Real Thoughts about it throughout his life.
Can I just say that when poor Jennifer appeared at the start of that episode from a squid, nobody in history could’ve convinced me that THAT squid wasn’t Ben.
I was SO 100% sure that Ben died because they were on a mission on a boat and a girl fell overboard and he jumped to save her but they couldn’t swim back up so he closed his eyes and became a squid to cover her until she was back up on the surface safe and sound. WHICH is really traumatic and would explain why it’s just called the Jennifer Incident.
(Whereas Sparrow Ben reached her underwater, realised he couldn’t save them both, and swam back up alone).
Bonus points if they’d already met somehow, since they totally implied Ben KNEW Jennifer since there were drawings and shit. Maybe even only Umbrella Ben knew Jennifer which is why he made that sacrifice.
Dont get me wrong I loved fighty, deny their father, Ben and I even liked Reginald shooting him (though not in front of them and wiping their minds that felt dumb). But I didn’t like Jennifer being in a fucking squid for no reason, or Ben being treated like he’s Umbrella Ben when he’s NOTTTTT
Found my 53yo very-much-not-online father in the kitchen today meticulously arranging cutlery on the countertop and i was like 'what are you doing' and he looked up at me with the world's most shit-eating grin and said "Your mother told me this is how you rick-roll the Youth" and i looked over and it was fucking.
