Kazuma, are you lonely, having been left behind? - ๐น
๐น,
Thank you for putting it such a kind way. That truly made me feel wonderful. Yes, my family left me behind. So did my closest friend.
That being said, Iris is now the greatest thing in my life. Her endless optimism and excitement is infectious, and it is clear that she already cares for me as much as she liked Naruhodou and Susato. It's been quite a long time since I've felt so unburdened when in a conversation.
In terms of her heritage... I am conflicted about it. Mr. Holmes and I have had many conversations discussing my father, and van Zieks' brother, and I can understand that the situation was quite grey...
In another life, she could have been my sister. Perhaps one day I may even consider her to be this. So... around Iris, and even Mr. Holmes and Gina... I do not consider myself to be as lonely as I had once expected.

What is the best Creature?
To anon.
I actually did quite a bit of work under a veterinarian when I was still living with my parents. I wanted to apprentice under him but my parents did not want this, so it was a bit of a secret apprenticeship. It was quite a bit of fun, and absolutely fascinating, but those years are long past.
Tat being said, my favorite animal is the humble pig. They are ferocious creatures with a strong personality and a penchant for eating anything. Quite literally anything, aside from metal. And that is certainly not for lack of trying, I simply believe they cannot process such a food. In fact, I know of only one animal brave enough to eat metal, that being the goat, though that is neither here nor there.
Pigs are intelligent creatures and I admire their tenacity. When I was younger, I would pretend an old ear of corn or an undesirable wooden crate was an effigy of whatever had been frustrating me lately. I learned later that there is a similar process in the South called voodoo. Fascinating stuff.
I hope this satisfies you. Enoch Drebber
Klimt van Zieks, Where does your first name come from? It seems more like a last name to me..
Dear Anon,
In terms of things I disliked about my parents, one that certainly stood out was their pretentiousness. Yes, Klimt is most certainly a last name. It was taken from a man that my parents met upon their world travels, a man who was very talented in the art of decorating things in gold.
My brother was named after the Baroque period of art, especially the more golden paintings. I am certain you may be beginning to see a theme.
They loved putting up appearances. Our names were simply further steps in that.
Hey, Hosonaga. Have you ever considered getting that cough checked out?
Dear Uniquartz,
What do you mean? I am perfectly, fine, it hardly bothers--
Ahem. Excuse me. I have not visited a doctor, though when Dr. Watson was dining with us, I did happen to cough while around him. He stated that it was something that would most certainly kill me. But, he is not a doctor for the living! He was a doctor for the dead.
Though, now that I think of it, perhaps he's seen some people who have died to my condition.... I really should go see someone about this...

Dear Kazuma
You will never get it if you donโt ask Barok van zieks
Dear anon,
Assuming that this is in relation to the mysterious note I was given the other day, I asked Barok. He assumed it was about adoption as well, something that seems rather ridiculous, as I cannot be given up in that way anymore. I already have been adopted into a family and even so, I am at the age where I am now considered my own family of one.

To Albert and Barok letโs just say you two had twins a boy and a girl what would you name the kids?
What a delightfully difficult question, anon!
As may not surprise you, I haven't put much thought into having children. I hope I do not need to explain why. That being said, I brought it up with Barok and we both have some things of note about names. I personally believe that twins should have names beginning with the same letters, and he truly enjoys the idea of naming children after plants.
I suggested Henry or Henrietta, and perhaps Harold. Maybe Harry. He thought that perhaps we could go with Heather and Hyacinth. I don't believe I can narrow it down from that list without any help! I have a hard enough time making other, even less important decisions.
What a thought, though. I love it! Albert Harebrayne
hosonaga-san what is your favorite disguise youve ever utilized on a mission
To Ribbonroad:
I shall have you know that I cannot, will not, be discovered this easily! As I am an incredible master of disguise and could be anyone, anywhere, at any time, it would be utterly foolish for me to admit what my favorite disguise is!
However, that being said, I suppose I could tell you about one of my disguises I have retired.... Hm.
All I will say is that I am quite fond of turtles.

For Klimt,
So, ahhhโฆ why all the murder babygirl?
Ace-chaser,
I... feel as though you are patronizing me. That being said, I thought I was doing the right thing. I felt as though I had no choice but to do that to make a change. I did what I thought was best for my people. I was wrong.
Regretfully, Klimt van Zieks
mr holmes, im sure you corresponded with dr mikotoba during your separation, so how did you hide that correspondence from iris? i cant imagine it was easy
My dear Ribbonroad,
It was indeed rather difficult to hide such a thing from such a precocious young lady. Fortunately for me, she is quite good at understanding my need for privacy! I did not lie to her per se, but she took to thinking that such things were secrets that could affect the outcome of various cases I was on. I simply indulged that belief of hers.
She did sometimes try to sneak a glance at our letters, but she knew better than to take them from my hands. She understood the need for my own privacy, as I gave her hers in turn. I know that Iris was intrigued by the contents of the letters mainly because she recognized the handwriting of my most dear partner.
Perhaps someday I shall share some snippets of our correspondences with her. Some, however, are a dearly private matter between the two of us.

To the ghosts of Klimt and Genshin,
Between the two of you, who is the William and who is the Henry? Feel free to use your ghostly powers to comprehend what this means.
Dear anon,
You already know the answer.
Love, Mod B
Barok, have you ever think about the baskerville family ever since the truth of the professor case has been out in the open
Dear anon,
In truth, I do not think much of my sister-in-laws' family. I knew that she was not overly fond of them, though she did miss them, of course. I do regret that their name has become tied up in all of this mess, as the so-called 'Hound of the Baskervilles' goes down in local legend.
There is one cousin of said family who I am rather fond of, though he has long since distanced himself from his relatives. Perhaps as condolences to their family I could bring some gift to them, or visit their home, but... I feel as though I would be less than welcome.
Signed, Lord van Zieks.
