sooo i’m really making a quotes masterpost of thrawn’s political incompetence aren’t i. timothy zahn was like “i need to make sure the reader knows how politically inept thrawn is AT ALL TIMES” and it’s so delightful that i ain’t even mad. (and to be fair, it’s really fucking relatable.)

thanks to the ascendancy novels we know that not only imperial politics are a problem for him, but it’s always been … an issue, even in the ascendancy. so we’re doing this thing full on chronologically, beginning with the memories sections in chaos rising. buckle up kids because it’s going to be a LONG ride.

He want to receive and give praises ! I think he rarely heard "Thank you" or "Good job" when he was a syndic (more now that he is patriarch) so it works well on him. And at the opposite nobody's doing enough of a good job for his taste, so when you're being his good girl he will tell you 😩

I've heard some debate over which Family the skywalkers will choose. I haven't heard much over the possibility of Vah'nya losing Third Sight, but imagine if she did. Whose Family would she choose? Ar'alani's former Family the Irizi? Her (possible) father Thrawn's? To my knowledge there aren't any Chiss she's particularly close to.

But you know what would be sweet? If she took the Family of a very close friend, of someone who swore to protect her. It would be unconventional. It would cause an uproar in the Syndicure.

Imagine if she took the name Eli'vah'nya. Ivah.

I think he would be a very bossy lover, but would he be overly dominant ? I am not so sure

I'm imagining being tucked underneath his chin, so I'm going to say yes. Also sitting at the base of his chair while he works is probably commonplace.

He wouldn't be overly dominant, he probably likes letting go every once in a while. Create a safe place for him where he doesn't have to be the Patriarch, he can just be Thurfian. But make no mistake, I don't think he'll ever let you top him, he can't give up that much control.
