For the "top 5 anything" post; top five Jasper hcs!
Thank you for this ask! Here we go then!
He is insomniac. Because of that, he stays up late to work because he simply can't fall asleep. The years of stress don't help either.
2. Because he sleeps so little, he's not a morning person. He won't be fully awake if not for a warm bath and a sweet tea.
3. Because he works so late with for sole source of light candles, his eyes are very tired and he needs glasses. Not that he'll admit it any time soon.
4. He does a lot of work-out to compensate all the sugar he regurlay ingests. He's terrified to gain weigth and to look less appealing. However, his addiction to sugar makes it difficult to reduce his consumption. He usually reads or works on reports while training, as a way to save time.
5. He has an excellent memory that he trains as well. He also pays great attention to details, so he knows who he's talking to, even maids or soldiers/knights, and he knows details about them like birthday dates. He gets small gifts for the staff he appreciates, like a floral perfume for his appointed staff/maids.
hello. you should check out my mods for DRAGON QUEST® XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition. goodbye
in times like these at least i have the character
This is not gospel, this is just my opinion and how I categorize my own creations! You can define these terms, use or not use them, however you want to! I’m just putting this here for my own reference mostly
A persona is explicitly for self insert purposes.
These characters do not have a role that alters the lore of the existing canon.
They can interact with characters, so long as it is done in an inconsequential way. If desired, the persona can have their own subplot to be resolved.
It’s absolutely possible to have a persona for your own original work.
Personas exist as different versions of the self. No need for lore, sometimes a different costume is enough to establish the self as a different sona
When the persona has a larger role that impacts the canon line of events, they cross into OC territory.
Persona Examples
The Farmer, from Stardew Valley
Animal Crossing Player Character
Character based on the self, but designed for the world. “Me if I were a stand user.”
Any character who is based on the self but does not change the end goal of a preexistent plot
OC Examples
A Stardew Valley OC would inherently change playable canon. If your SDV persona is dating Alex and Alex is no longer a viable Romance Route, then your persona is an OC
A yokai watch NPC who has a cool yokai and directly helps Nate do XYZ, explicitly influencing the plot’s course
A character that may or may not be based on the self that is more plot significant than not.
Plot significance doesn’t exist on an easily measurable scale so it’s a loose metric, deliberately
Mary sues don’t exist btw the point of an OC is to have fun and be self indulgent. Enjoy your blorbos and let them live and love as freely as you would do so yourself.
ok i just got this thought out of nowhere but blog divers (people who scroll through a blog and reblog things that were posted YEARS AGO) are actually a super important part of the tumblr ecosystem
With people going inactive and deactivating, a lot of classic tumblr posts and also missed gems get lost because those connections get broken. Even on my own blog I forget about posts I made until I see someone in my activity reblog one of them- which then inspires me to reblog it myself because it was a good post and I want my new followers to see
do not feel bad about diving through someone's blog and reblogging shit from years ago, it keeps dashboards alive
(and if anyone has a problem with that, they can just block you or they can delete the root post ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, two things that have absolutely no effect on the grand scheme of our lives)
Dqxi had the right idea. If you're gonna make a character in your story have their natural hair color being some kind of bright unnatural color, it should be the huge fighter man that's inarguably masc. Dqxi could've given the long, pretty lavender hair to any of the other main party members. They could've given it to Serena. Or Jade. But they didn't. They gave it to Hendrik. Absolutely unparalleled move.
