Hahahaha
When searching for photos and information regarding our favorite space heroes, one wonderful website is johnwyoung.org. Along with quotes, links, and a whole lotta stuff about our favorite John Young, there are some excellent photos, like the one shown above. It seems to be an ordinary shot of the Apollo 10 crews during breakfast, but no, John has to make a face. No normal picture this time. It also appears he is looking at the glass of orange juice in front of him…
I still can’t stop thinking about this picture
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh my.
You seriously want us to eat that?
Creation of NASA
“1969 July 16: Family watching blast off on TV with crossed fingers. NASA. Space Program"
On July 29, 1958, Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation to create The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The organization absorbed its predecessor, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), after the Soviet Union launched its first satellite in October 1957.A few years later, President Kennedy announced an ambitious goal for the U.S. to put a man on the moon before the end of the 1960’s. On July 20th, 1969, eleven years after NASA was created, Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the lunar surface.
