Then the second movie opens with Hiccup and Toothless not just in sync but their themes have become a whole song. Not just matching but in perfect harmony with each other

how i think the gang is with physical touch (specifically cuddling):

hiccup- will cuddle for a certain amount of time, but once he hits that time limit his skin feels like it’s crawling and he needs to pull away

astrid- not the biggest fan of cuddling, but will tolerate it if she really loves whoever she’s cuddling

fishlegs- similar to astrid, but will tolerate it because he doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of whoever he’s cuddling

snotlout- he loves it, but will deny it till the day he dies. cannot catch this man cuddling anyone, no matter how much he wants to

tuffnut- loves loves loves it. he will cuddle anyone if given the chance. as immature as he may seem, he won’t make any girls feel unsafe or uncomfortable cuddling him because he simply does not care about romantic and/or sexual stuff with them

ruffnut- hates cuddles from everyone EXCEPT tuffnut. she will tolerate tuff, but if anyone else tries to cuddle her she WILL make them eat their own shit

bonus:

heather- is fine with hugs, but is not a fan of cuddling

dagur- this man WILL cuddle anyone and everyone, toxic masculinity be damned. no one is safe from his cuddles.

viggo- he doesn’t know how he stands with cuddling because who would he cuddle? ryker?? the hunters???? i don’t think so.

johann- no one wants to cuddle him.

Is it just me or is Valka’s character so…confusing to me?

I don’t get her character at all. In writing sense, in the way she’s presented, how everyone reacts to her?? She’s a walking contradiction.

I need to rewatch HTTYD2 and do a full analysis of her character and writing because she refuses to leave my brain. Full analysis coming because I NEED to pick her role apart.

I’m in the middle of RTTE s4 and it’s my first time watching it.

But like…Johanns a twist villain right? HE HAS TO BE? That man is way too suspicious and his design SCREAMS villain. I’m so sure of it. There’s no way he’s not some kind of evil mastermind or something.

Or I could be overthinking this. I swear I’m not crazy.

This is really random but I think asking the question whether a character deserves redemption is a dumb way to have a deep conversation.

There has been so much debate on certain characters redemption but the main thing is whether they deserve redemption or not. But the thing about that question is that there is no answer that isn’t in some way personal. It changes on every person and will likely just lead to agreements rather than discussions.

Here’s some of my favorite questions to ask about a characters redemption that I think have sorted my feelings out about it.

1. What were the writers trying to accomplish with the character?

2. What message did this character bring? This is important especially in kids shows.

3. Was the redemption well done?

4. What were the characters reaction to the redemption?

5. Did the other characters forgive the character?

6. How did they do the redemption and why?

7. Why was this character redeemed?

8. Did they make up for their actions in any way?

All of these are more on the objective standpoint rather than one that changes person to person.

Now you can still ask if a character deserves redemption or not but it’s important to understand that we ourselves are not moral judges and the line between redeemable and irredeemable is nothing but based on our own perception.

I just think there needs to be a balance.

Httyd1, Riders/defenders of Berk and RTTE are the only canon httyd content in my mind 🙁🫶🙏

I may have forgotten while writing my princess bride AU fanfiction

Idea: rather than project all his childhood insecurities on his children, Hiccup holds Zephyr (or Tiny 👀) for the first time and he cries for himself as well because he holds this newborn, his first, and he can't ever imagine casting this child out like he was once casted out for so long that acceptance from the enemy was enough for him.

I need that baby Monstrous Nightmare. LOOK AT IT! JUST LOOOOŒŒK!!!!
