this is an illustration for youssef, whose mother is remembered running desperately into the hospital asking if anyone had seen a "small white boy with beautiful curly hair, his name is youssef," a description which was remembered by millions when she finally identified his body:

this illustration is for young omar, who was hugging his little brother and teaching him how to repeat the shahada after him (a prayer spoken by muslims before their death) as he lay on his hospital bed:

"we want a new year that doesn't kill us or our children, we want it a year without blood, without screaming, without pain, we want a new attempt to get our lives back, or something that resembled our life, even if life is a lie we still cling to it, return life to us—a new year's card unlike any other year:"

Noor's family of five once had a beautiful home, but it was destroyed by bombs and war. Because of constant displacement, she and her family have little left. Her children have few clothes and are sick! They live in a tent. Food is getting more expensive. Winter is on the horizon. They need your help!

Her daughter Rajaa was infected with hepatitis from malnutrition, her eldest son Hussein can no longer go to school, and her baby boy Youssef needs milk, diapers, and clean drinking water. Her husband, Ashraf suffered from a shoulder injury at the beginning of the war, and has lost his job because the place where he worked was destroyed—he worked as a math teacher at a school.

Noor's donation campaign is a testament to her strength and resilience. She struggles to communicate with me because of internet issues in Gaza, but has nonetheless conveyed this message, which I will now share with you:

"We will continue to live, continue to love, and continue to dream of a better tomorrow."

She loves her children, and thanks everyone who helps her. Please, she has raised only 24,270 / 40,000. I personally am so grateful to all who donated, but I will admit I am deeply saddened how much things have slowed. Like Noor, though, I believe in hope. I believe you can make a difference in her life, for her and her family.

I think I’ll just add a list of the details down here:

The peacock and tear markings on his face and neck: Since the peacock miraculous embodies the concept of emotion, tears were added bc tears: sadness in which Sunny is well known to subdue and deny, but wearing the miraculous brings it out and uncovers it so no more hiding for you haha

Somethjng ribbon: since Mari is the original, it makes sense to add that in. Something in itself is imo the manifestation of emotion, in canon or not. I have a head canon that Something is the first thing ever created with a peacock miraculous and eventually haunts every holder, taking the shape of the thing they miss or hate the most. In here it could be Mari for Sunny.

Other Something references: Just to bring more creepiness in and show that emotion can bring out the judging eyes of others, suffocating you (corset?) and tying you down (the eye sleeve??? thingy). It comes with the whole Duusu spread my feathers thing. Also!!! The something in his hair. In canon Somthing is shown to be Hanging Mari’s Hair and eyes, so it’s kinda like she’s still a part of him and that they’re always connected somehow.

Choppy skirt and peacock feathers underneath: Emotion is volatile. You can feel one thing at first and then a complete other emotion later. There is no rhyme or reason to it. So the change is shape and overall texture maybe is to show the instability of emotion and how the peacock can manipulate it to their will. The feathers are there to remind you.

Rest is just purely aesthetic but feel free to add on!

Patterns are taken from traditional kimonos and South/South East Asian clothing + Grecian inspired outfit.

anyways had a whole night long brain rot about sunny in @tosteur-gluteal ‘s mlb omori au and so i got to work!!!! i hope it looks ok haha

i can’t color so it’s pretty black and white now! lemme know what yall think <333

since mari is the og handler in this au, i though of implementing Something into the design, something created by Sunny to cope. It shows in the costume and bonds him to Mari (both Au and Canon)

tell me how many Something references you can find, and spot the actual miraculous too!
