in a wild abuse of the @jaydickweek time travel prompt, I went back in time and redrew an old picture that had been bugging me XD
Dick is an acrobat, which means that, compared to the rest of the bats, he's one of the lighter ones. Additionally, since he was a trapeze artist, plus his years as Robin, this means he can always, ALWAYS, stick the landing. Jason, on the other hand, is the resident tank build, which means he's the heaviest with the most strength in the arms, rivalling that of Batman himself easily. With that in mind, I present my thesis. If Nightwing is annoying Red Hood, especially in front of Commissioner Gordon, Red Hood just throws Nightwing off of the building. While on the surface it seems cold hearted of Jason, he actually knows and trusts Dicks enough to know he'll be fine, and Dick could scurry away before Jason could grab him, but chooses not to. It's a way the brothers bond. Additionally, Jason sometimes does it around the manor, but only through open windows, because Alfred doesn't appreciate needing to replace them every week.
Catwoman: [flirting while wearing a backpack full of stolen art] always a pleasure to see you Batman
Batman: I know you robbed the exhibit. Put it back
Catwoman: [pretends to think it over] you know… I don’t think I will.
Batman: fine. Just one thing before you go.
Batman: [steps aside to show Robin (Dick Grayson), 8 years old] this is Robin
Batman: he’s been asking me to go to the exhibit since it opened but I haven’t had the time
Batman: I finally had some time off this weekend, so we were going to attend on Saturday.
Batman: he hasn’t spoken of anything else all week.
Robin: [blinks sadly]
Catwoman:
Batman:
Catwoman: [wavering] I’m not going to just-
Robin: [in a watery voice] it was all I wanted for my birthday
Catwoman: [throws her hands up] FINE I’LL PUT IT BACK

Never let me fall out of line.
Imagine Jason coming back to life and trying to find Dick to tell him that he's loved him since they first met. He goes through the madness, and he keeps thinking of all the things he didn't do before he died. And he decides that confessing to Dick is a huge thing he missed out on and wants to do.
And Dick is dealing with this TANK of a man chasing him around, who is obviously just a tad unstable, and he has no clue who the hell this guy is. All he knows is this guy apparently had a duffle bag of severed heads at one point, lots of guns, and an obviously complicated relationship with Batman.
And then Jason finally gets Dick where he wants him and just wraps him in a huge hug. And is just "Oh thank god I thought you hated me, too, Dick-"
And maybe he says something only Jason and Dick knew about, pulls off his helmet dramatically (because they were all raised by Bruce) and it clicks who he is.
